People will run what they can get away with and the highway patrol has trained us to run up to 10 over without the expectation of a ticket. So there we go. I've passed parked patrol cars many many times running 8 to 10 over and no issues in most of the states in the eastern half of the USA. On the interstate going anywhere most of the cars are going 8 to 10 over. If you drive the "limit" you are a road hazard.
The NC Highway Patrol almost always puts out a notice that they will be watching speeders on the holiday weekends. They have trained us to drive up to 10 mph over the limit without the expectation of a ticket so we'll see what happens. I've driven 8 to 10 over all over the eastern half of the USA during my contract job travels over the last 20 years and never got stopped for it. Knock on Wood!
I think Dot 3, 4, and 5.1 is fully compatible and the higher number will take a higher temperature. So some 5.1 fluid may help with the clutch problem.
I got my first smart phone in 2010. I didn't really feel the need but I am an engineer and I didn't want to get left too far behind on the new technology. My wife told me she (elec eng) didn't want one. Both of us got iphone 4S phones. Now we are addicted. we upgraded about a year ago to iphone 6 for me and samsung 5S for her. The weatherbug app is the neatest thing. I can see an updated weather radar map any time which is a great help if anything is planned for the outside such as my 45 minute walk or a cycle ride. Access to the internet ain't bad too. And the camera is excellent. My wife uses her phone and chrome cast to stream Russian tv shows to our television. And the built in gps works better than my Garmin.
Well, the CEO was worrying for nothing and maybe wasn't that bright. 12 volts is just not enough motive force to push the amps through you to kill you.
I didn't have the respect I should have for electricity when I was in the Army repairing radars and the analog computer for the Nike Hercules Missile System (MOS 24Q20 as bongobobny knows). I was disconnecting a power supply by reaching over to the rear without deenergizing the panel and my knuckle touched 450 volts DC from the power supply above the one I was disconnecting and completed a circuit to the end of my finger. It burned a hole the size of a BB in my knuckle. Lucky for me, it only burned soft flesh and not a tendon. Trying to do stuff quickly doesn't always give you the best result.
My prior house had a vent line that went up the wall and crossed over the entire house under the attic floor to exit the back wall and was very susceptible to plugging. That was something I looked at when I moved. In my current home the dryer is sitting against the back wall with a 2' vent line.
Synchronizing the carbs when the bike isn't running right might do more harm than good or it seems to me anyway. After you get it all sorted out, sync it again.
Welcome back! Photos of the new ride would be wonderful!
Sounds like you just need to look very carefully at the changes you made and you will find the issue. There is a manual on this site you can download.
