Wow! On the road already! Nothing can keep you two down! -
When I recently drove out to Wyoming, my Garmin I was using in my old F150 crapped out and I used the navigation in my iphone. I was surprised when I got a low battery warning using the nav when I had it plugged in and charging the whole time. So, that may be something to consider.

When the rioters start throwing rocks and molovtov cocktails at the police, it is beyond my logic why the police don't shoot the perps. I suppose I'd be arrested if someone threw a molotov cocktail at me or my home because that is exactly what I would do.

The counter argument for paying extra on the loan is that if you lose your job and find yourself without funds, you can't borrow money and you can't get the extra money back that you paid on the loan. So, always have some liquidity handy for emergencies.

With a conventional loan you need a 20% down payment to avoid mortgage insurance. I used my VA loan way back to buy my first house. When I moved, I sold it myself and I allowed the new owner to assume my VA mortgage. Cost almost nothing to sell the house. And the new owners actually put in the extra effort to assume responsibility for the mortgage after the sale. Way back in 73!!

I bought some from partzilla.com

Some of the recent offenders had been arrested 28 times. I think anyone who has been arrested that many times should have a bounty on their head and anyone can shoot on sight.

When you provide a service for customers, it is best to always keep personal opinions of the people out of it and just do the best job you can or that is the way I look at it.

Don't tell the wife you forgot about $1600. She might have you committed!

Shinko bought Yokohama's motorcycle tire division so I wouldn't be afraid to put them on my bike.

Yeah, I second that! Great job! Years ago, I needed a couple of guys with strong backs to help me. I called the Employment Security Commission and got a couple of guys to help that Saturday I needed to do the work. Well, actually only one showed up and I had to go pick him up, but he worked his arse off and I was happy to pay him for his services.

If I'm selling something big and expensive like a car, I won't discuss price until they show enough interest to come look at it. When they call and want to talk price I say, "Come take a look at it and decide if you want it first. If you like it, we can haggle over the price. If you don't like it, it's a waste to talk price."

I arrived at the motel in Spearfish mid Sunday afternoon driving up from Denver, CO after dropping off my wife at the airport. My son who happened to be driving from LA to NYC detoured through and we enjoyed the area until this morning. We went to Deadwood Sunday and spent several hours in Sturgis yesterday and late in the day went to Mt. Rushmore. I've never seen so many bikes. A few had big block Chevy V8s with up to 1100 claimed hp. If you saw an old guy wearing shorts and a cowboy hat (I had vacationed in Wyoming for a week and just had to buy a Cowboy Hat!) walking around with a tall longhaired young man, that might have been me. When I first got to Sturgis, I mistakenly drove through the middle in my F150. I didn't think I was going to make it through with the bikes parked so close to the street. I looked and looked for Ventures but only spied one blue 2007 and the rider wasn't a member. I also saw a Yamaha scooter and a road star. This was my first time to Sturgis and I didn't have my bike with me. I did enjoy looking at the young ladies who were showing their stuff!! If yah got it, flaunt it is my philosophy! My Garmin directed me through the hills coming in and I passed a motorcycle wreck. My son said the motel desk clerk told him when he checked in Saturday that already three bikers had died in accidents at that time.

With any bike or auto that old, condition is everything. If it hasn't been ridden in a while and is missing, you could find yourself doing a lot of work to get it right. Things like fork seals, fork springs, clutch slave cylinder, carb cleaning, elec wire cleanup are some of the things you might find yourself working on. It's worth paying a little extra for a bike that has been kept in good running condition.

Well then, a first gen it is!!! Inexpensive to buy! Lots of friends to help you sort it out! Or a wing! The low center of gravity is a great thing for a 900lb bike!

I may be there for a day or so in my truck. My wife is taking off a week from work next week. I'm driving to Denver and picking her up from the airport Saturday with the plan to tour Wyoming and areas. After dropping her off the next weekend, I may go over to Sturgis just to say I've been, regretfully without a bike though. I wanted to drive out so I could do a little more touring before coming back home.

Wow! What a disaster! So glad you two are recovering well! A big buck deer ran into the side of my car after I entered the 35 speed zone of Peru, Nebraska after dark. That is when I decided that deer were so stupid that they had to have been put on earth for food and we should be eating more deer!

Oh well, you got to enjoy it for a while and got a few bucks back out of it I presume. Life is all about change. Congratulations of finding a buyer! One thing is for sure, there will always be plenty of bikes out there to purchase if you feel the urge!

You should got to Myrtle Beach on Memorial Day weekend. Lots of sport bike riders there with their overweight girl friends on the back thong bikini and all. So, hundreds of sport bikes everywhere with big bare butts sticking up in the air. It's quite a sight.

Some brands of gas are "Top Tier" 87 and 91 or 93 octane which means it meets certain standards and has a cleaner in it. Here is a link that shows what brands are "Top Tier". http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers/ Living in a coastal city, I'm lucky that alcohol free gasoline is available and that is what I use in the bikes and yard tools. I know from experience it makes a huge difference in the yard tools when they are not used for a long time.
