  1. He talks about buying the place but isn't sure he could qualify for the loan since he and his ex have a condo in Brooklyn, NYC that they cosigned the loan for. The owners didn't mind when he set up a music recording studio in the house. The property has two small cottages in the back that are rented to another recording engineer that my son knows and found for the owner. I haven't been out there yet to visit and see the place but I hope to next year. A lot of his neighbors have horses.
  2. My son is renting a house in LA County that has orange trees and lemon trees in the back yard. The lot is about 3/4 of an acre. He also has a horrendous water bill from the irrigation. The owners lived there for several decades before moving to a smaller home and renting the place. He thinks it's pretty cool to walk out back and pick some oranges for breakfast too.
  3. From WebMd Foods With Vitamin K2 Vitamin K is in many foods, but on average, most of what we consume is the K1 form found in plants. These eight vitamin K2-rich foods can help you achieve a better balance in your diet. 1. Natto Natto is a Japanese dish made from fermented soybeans. It’s high in many nutrients that promote good gut health and is the richest source of vitamin K2 available. it contains between 800-1000 mcg per 100 grams of vitamin K2 (menaquinone).. A 100-gram serving contains 108 micrograms of vitamin K2, more than twice the recommended intake. 2. Eel Though most vitamin K2 sources are animal-based, eel offers a seafood alternative. There are 63 micrograms in a 100-gram serving of eel, meeting your recommended level for the day. 3. Cheese Cheeses are one of the best sources of vitamin K2 along with nutrients like calcium, vitamin A, and protein. However, they’re also high in saturated fats and calories, so you should moderate your portions. Vitamin K2 content varies based on the cheese, and it increases with age across all types. Common cheeses with the highest amount of vitamin K2 per 50-gram serving include: 50 micrograms in Munster 34 micrograms in Camembert About 32 micrograms in Edam and aged Gouda 12 micrograms in cheddar 4. Beef Liver Beef liver is one of the most nutritious meat products you can eat, containing your entire daily requirement for nutrients like vitamin A, riboflavin, folate, and copper. A 100-gram serving also has more than 11 micrograms of vitamin K2, making it the best meat-based source of the vitamin. 5. Chicken If you’re not a fan of organ meats like liver, turn to chicken for your vitamin K2. With 10 micrograms per 100-gram serving, chicken has five to 10 times the vitamin K2 content of beef or pork. 6. Butter Just a tablespoon of butter has 2.1 micrograms of vitamin K2. However, that same tablespoon contains about 100 calories and 11 grams of fat, so make sure to keep your servings small to avoid potential health risks and unwanted weight gain. 7. Sauerkraut Sauerkraut is fermented cabbage with a distinctive sour flavor. Like with natto, this fermentation process offers many health benefits, like promoting good gut health and boosting immunity. With 2.75 micrograms per half-cup, sauerkraut is also a great source of vitamin K2. 8. Egg Yolk An egg yolk can contain between 67 and 192 micrograms of vitamin K2. This amount depends on what the hen eats, however. Most chicken feed today is fortified with vitamin K, and this content passes onto the egg. But chickens fed corn or soy-based diets are more at risk of vitamin K deficiencies.
  4. One med my Cardiologist prescribed that I decided to stop taking is Metoprolol ER Succinate. He said it would cause my heart to be more efficient. It dropped my resting pulse from 60 to 50 and lowered my blood pressure. It also sapped my energy and made me feel like crap. After taking it for quite a while, I decided to stop taking it and felt much better with no increase in angina. And he prescribed Isosorbide Mononitrate to be taken once daily. The side effects made me fell like crap. So, I split the pill into half and took a half pill twice daily. I tried this for quite a while and then I decided to quit taking it too. The side effects were terrible and if it helped, I couldn't tell. I do have to take more other bp meds to control my bp now but I feel much better. I'm taking Losartan at night which has very little effect and in the mornings if my bp is above 135/xx I take Triam/HCTZ which is a diuretic. Besides those I'm taking my vitamins and supplements and I'm taking 20mg of rosuvastatin for cholesterol control and now the Vitamin K2 for my heart. Use your own judgement as to what it right for you. Everyone is a little different and the doctors don't know everything about everybody.
  5. K1 and K2 have somewhat different effects.
  6. I started feeling pressure in my chest when I went on my 50 minute rapid walks around the subdivision and it slowly got worse. I had tried statins but the side effects were unacceptable. Two years ago, I was told that two of my heart arteries were 85% plugged and the 3rd was 65% plugged. And they were plugged almost evenly all the way down to the capillaries what they normally see in diabetic patients. My heart's pumping efficiency was normal. The heart muscles were just not getting enough blood flow. Bypass operations were probably useless and they inserted 3 stents which may have helped a little. Anyway, I got serious about taking statins and took rosuvastatin even though it made my arthritis worse. Now it is 2 years later and I was about the same. 6 weeks ago I started taking Vitamin K2 which is supposed to help prevent and maybe reduce the buildup in arteries. After about 2 weeks, I noticed that I can be more active before I start feeling angina. It's a very noticeable difference. The brand I'm taking is "Doctors Best". I don't know if that is the best brand but it seems to be working for me. I felt that this is important enough to share with my friends on venturerider. It's giving me some hope of living a more normal life. I'm 77 if you don't know. I remember from years ago that Suzanne Somers said that if you take Vitamin K2 you will never have hardening of the arteries. She got breast cancer years ago and did a lot of research into supplements and health remedies. I think she even wrote a book on the subject. She is 75 now and her husband is 82 and she claims they have sex all the time with the help of hormones.
  7. My new computer with Windows 10 did not allow me to load my Office 2007 programs. It came with Microsoft 365 but you have to pay annually to use office if you choose that option. The other option which I chose was to go to Best Buy and pay for a one time use of Office that downloads from the internet. I also bought a portable DVD drive since my new computer did not come with one. They have to keep the money coming in. They can't let you use what you have already paid for.
  8. Check the compression just to make sure the engine is healthy. It's not unusual for the fuel pumps to have issues on these 2nd Gens. I suppose I would suspect the diaphragms in the carbs but you said you rebuilt them.
  9. What year bike is it?
  10. I spray penetrating oil into my 2 stroke outboard's cylinders over the winter.
  11. Unscrew the spark plug caps and look for green stuff on the spark plug wires. The connections are not moisture proof and the copper core wires corrode. Usually you can cut off a half inch or so of the wire to get rid of the green corrosion and screw the caps back on. While you are at it, check the cap resistance. The stock caps are about 9k ohms and the aftermarket NGK caps are 5k ohms.
  12. Welcome! We have lots of answers and some of them are even correct! 😆
  13. The tank on my 85ZN700 is rusty. When I bought it in 2009 with 1k miles on it, I sloshed the gas around and dumped it to get the rust particles out and put a filter in the line and I've never had a problem as far as I know with rust clogging up the carbs. They will clog up easily if it sits for a while but with a 700cc engine with 4 carbs the passages are really tiny and it doesn't take much sludge to plug something. I keep Gumout with PEA in the gas which helps this issue. My 2 cents.
  14. It was 70 degrees with the sun shining so the wife and I took the 18' boat out fishing in the inland waterway. Seems the fish are larger this time of the year. We caught 6 keeper Whiting ranging up to 18", some smaller perch, a black drum, a puffer, a very large crab, and 5 sharks that ranged from 2' to 3'. We threw everything back. Whiting are tasty in my opinion but we usually don't keep anything we catch. On the way back to the marina, we stopped to watch a pod of dolphins swim by. It was a great day on the water, perhaps the last time this year.
  15. Hey, you can tour the world with that bike!! Or at least this guy does! https://c90adventures.co.uk/
  16. I recently bought a new HP computer because my old Toshiba Satellite is about 10 yrs old and has a few issues. The new one came with Windows 10 but when I booted it, I was given the option of upgrading to Windows 11. I chose not to for now. I only use my computer for the forums and watching youtube videos mostly and paying bills on line. I do enjoy watching historical videos and auto/truck/motorcycle mechanic videos since I've been a shadetree mechanic all of my life.
  17. I would put a bottle of Gumout for high mileage engines in the gas tank, or Chevron Techron
  18. The King of touring motorcycles!
  19. You might want to call pinwall cycles. They salvage a lot of bikes and usually sell the parts on ebay but sometimes they have stuff that doesn't get on ebay.
  20. Yeah, they are much easier to work on than the RSV in most cases. I think I removed 21 screws to change my headlight bulb and about 28 to replace the air filters on my RSV.
  21. You might want to check the valve adjustment. My ZN700 needed adjustment at 6,000 miles. A couple valves had 0 clearance. And the timing chain may need adjustment. Mine has the automatic adjustment and the springs in it needed replacement. This video may be helpful if you decide to adjust the valves.
  22. You might want to reconsider using Sintered brake pads for the rear. The RSV rear brakes tend to be on the too powerful side stock. Increasing the rear braking could be making the bike more dangerous to ride.
  23. The Ultra bulb only lasted a few minutes or seconds maybe so I don't think touching it could make it fail that quickly because it didn't have enough time to heat up. I put my volt meter on the battery connections and it was normal voltage at 14.2 volts and stable idling and revved up so I don't think that was the issue. Maybe it had been dropped as Marcarl said. Don't know. If I start riding at night, I'll probably get an LED like RDawson uses. Sylvania expects the Ultra to last 100 hours and the standard bulb 1100 hours so that's a big difference.
  24. Come on joe biden! 🙂He was asking about Korean made K&L parts. I haven't seen any yet, only Japanese. I would trust either.
  25. I've used K&L parts several times but they were made in Japan.
