  1. I ride with some HD riders, with very loud pipes. They used to ask me if I had a turbo, or blower on my rsv! I had the dealer install the "I" basket, and now they can't even hear my V-4 at all. It removed at least 70% of the chirp. (maybe 90%) So, check the part #'s B-4 letting the stealer do the work! Gud luck!
  2. Pretty much the same as, Al. Better clutch spring, and synthetic oil. The shifting went from clunky and harder to shift , as the yamalube got dirty. Then, there was parkay/buttery shifting, after the spring and syn!
  3. Well,......when the old british army went to war, they wore red coats.....the reason for that was to hide any bloody injuries from the enemy. when the packers go to war with the bears, they will be wearing yellow pants, to hide their fear of death!.........

  5. I had no problem getting at the bleeder valve , on my 07. It's a bit tight , but not that bad. let us know how ur clutch feels now. I just did mime and it feels like it engages better.....more solid....than weak and MUSHY!
  6. It made a big difference:thumbsup2: ....bled and changed the fluid, and now the clutch feels like it engages better? (more solid feel , to it). it was just over 3 yrs old. anybody else experience this?
  7. I was told by a friend that in europe, and other countries around the world, that it is mandated for offshore drilling to install a remotely operated shut off valve. And that here in the USA this is not required. sure would seem like a smart move to see the possibilities of a disaster , such as this, B-4 hand! Is this true?
  8. forgot about loading docks , with long sloped drives. local commercial buildings. pull the trailer in , and could be like driving on a level ramp / no angle..............
  9. OR, find a tall curb nearby, or swail/ditch to back the trailer into....that could possibly get the ramp 8-12" higher ...changing the angle of the ramp ....gud luck , clawed:smile5:
  10. Put me down for two of them!
  11. And I personally feel this is why the "I" basket doesn't work for everyone who has had it installed! 'cuz it never was installed.........It has made a world of difference to my ex-screaming 07. ( I swear we put it in. u don't believe me.... well.... sorry we will only try this one time and if it doesn't work yamaha says ur on ur own!) Sad isn't it?
  12. I thinks the undertaker may be embarrassed;) one flip of the ol' kill switch took care of it!
  13. OK, I took the horn off and tested it straight to the car battery......LOUD! then, straight to the rsv bat.......LOUD! I made the mistake of wiring it to the extra harness, for my battery tender connection. 20A fuse.....Then took the other harness(for the tender) with the alligator clamp connectors and used it to wire things up.....another 20A fuse and removed the clamps....might be 16 ga. wire......A little dinner and a trip to rat shack and all is well now. And yes the 30A relay was in there...and and everything was so pretty, with heat shrink on all the connections, and routed soooo...nice ....but I had to tear it all apart and redo most of it.....then the battery bolt fell down into the grand canyon....ten minutes to find it......
  14. Well I wired everything up and gave it the smoke test......and I didn't realize there were two stock horns! Do I need to disconnect the other front horn also? cause, the stebel sounds very weak! not loud at all............any idea's?..... clawed needs help........
  15. Amen, George.......It's still sad to hear of this unfortunate accident.....The man had the world by the//////:confused24:
  16. Had my clutch changed to the "I" basket, and 95%+ of the chirp/whistle/wine is gone. And mine had a very bad case of it! (without a helmet..it was ear piercing!) About 1700 miles on the "I" basket and no wine. What a very very big improvement!
  17. appreciate the info and took a couple of notes........been looking at th routes and probably we are going to catch 54 in Il. and go down, but, things could change. I'll look at 94 and make a decision on our final route. safe riding people!, CLAWED:Venture:

  21. The product u have is torch applied modified bitumen rolled roofing. lift the seam , it must be clean and dry, apply some roof cement, under the loose seam, top and bottom, push it down in place, and add a small amount on top. that will get u sealed off temporarily. then at your liesure, the area must be cleaned and primed with asphalt primer and a new piece of the material torched down, after the primer has dried. 1gal roof cement should do 3'. don't pile it on too thick, so the modified can be installed later.
