I could customize one for you, this only took about an hour all together. Edit not counting the time it took the pipe to melt off the original cuff.

Every single job i do would take about half the time (or less) if i didn't misplace every single tool i set down.

Yeah I was glad that it wasn't worse. A new jacket isn't in the budget right now. I'm usually super careful about things like that, but it only takes a second. And now it's totally original!

Made a bonehead move and left my jacket draped over the seat while the bike was warming up last week and the right cuff was just touching the exhaust pipe. Didn't get a picture of the damage but I'm sure you all can imagine. This is the after repair picture. One of a kind baby!

You guys look so happy in that picture! I’m excited for you, and I second what M61AMECH said, watch those “ride like a pro” videos on YouTube. They are great!

If you roll through victorville ca on your way to Vegas let me know. Also there is a small shop here called 395 customs that could probably help with that oil change, it's realy only one guy, his name is Wes and he will work on anything and is a great wrench and a great guy, and he will give you a good deal.

Time to replace Handgrips
RoTorKev replied to craigatcsi's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I had a set of ISO grips on my last bike with the optional throttle boss (works like a cramp buster) and I loved them. I have wanted to put a set on my venture ever since I bought it but haven't gotten around to it yet. The ISO grips are a little pricy but in my opinion they are worth every penny. They are larger in diameter than stock, but that is one of the things I like about them. -
Nice ride, and already has the ultimate seat!

What would you like to see in a next gen Venture? Here are a few of my own thoughts: Keep with a V4 (opposed 6 would make it to much like a wing) Increased horse power (>100) Fuel Injection Better MPG 1-2 inch Lower Rider Seat Height (lower overall CG) Redesign the Fairing and update electronics Just my thoughts, what do you guys think?

Yeah, I don't remember a time when I was a kid growing up that my dad didn't have a bike. I used to love riding with him.

Thanks for all the replies guys! Super cool. Kev

What makes for the best rides? I guess I could say that every time I get on a motorcycle it's a great ride because there's few things better that riding a motorcycle. That being said, some rides are set apart, today I had one of those rides. It was just a short ride but special none the less. Today is my oldest daughters birthday. A few years ago I started up a tradition of taking the day off on my daughters birthday and taking her out to a Daddy Daughter breakfast, and we always ride the bike. She loves to be on the bike, especially now that I have the Venture. This year I decided to have breakfast at Molly Browns on old Rt 66. The weather was perfect, the food was great, and the ride was one of the best. Most important of all I got to spend some excellent one on one time with my daughter. I think that the short stretch of Rt. 66 between Victorville and Barstow is about one of the coolest 30 - 40 miles of road anywhere. It's not mountainous of particularly curvy, but there is so much history and distinct American culture in that little distance, it's just really cool.

Had mine on for about a month now, only ridden with it in the low position and I really like it. I can easily see right over it which is why I wanted it in the first place. It does a good job of keeping the wind off, the wind hits right at the crown of my helmet allowing for a nice flow of air through the vents, (I'm 6'2").

I think chaps are great, if your a member of a village people tribute band:322:. Otherwise I'd go with the over pants for cold weather and or the riding jeans for protection.

Do you think the HD dealer would allow me much on 2 Ventures
RoTorKev replied to YamaDuck's topic in Watering Hole
I'm still new to the venture, had one for about 4 months now, but I have had several bikes over the years and all of them required constant positive voltage from the battery to run correctly. -

Hey PUC, the UH-60 is a Blackhawk (built by Sikorsky) or as I like to call it "the most awesome flying machine ever built by man". The EC-145 is an Airbus Helicopter (formerly Eurocopter) aircraft that is pretty widely used for EMS and off shore work. I'll try to post some pics when I'm on my regular computer. -

Hahaha good one, of course only the transmission and part of the airframe are Kawasaki. The rest is mostly French and German so BMW and Peugeot.
