Thanks for all the information....after reading all the posts, I'm pretty sure it's just my not being used to the sounds. I'll defiantly try the shifting to fifth and hit it and checking the bolts on the differential....also hitting the rev limiter, i forgot about that! Mark

Greetings to you all, I've had my 99 Venture for a couple of weeks now and am somewhat dismayed at the gearing. When I'm doing 60 in fifth the engine/trany noise sounds like I should be doing 80+. Haven't gone through a tank of gas yet, so I'm not sure what's normal for this model. Short of putting it on a Dyno, I'll let the engine sound be my tach....what's the best way to increase the top end if I decide to go that way? Thanks Mark

Greetings, I've had my 99 venture for a couple of weeks now and really enjoy it's differences from my 99 road star. I do miss having a pouch or two on the handlebars though, are there any available for the Venture? I haven't seen any in the few places I've looked. I'd also like to install a Back Off tail light system. Does anyone have experience with that? Oblahde AKA Mark
