    Yep, that is why you always need to be looking in the mirrors and have an out if you can see this is going to happen. Sometimes you can't see far enough back or there is nowhere to go, but if possible have an out.

    I agree that it would be nice if cellphones were made to not work while a vehicle is in motion. However I do not believe this will ever happen because there are more people with cellphones than vehicles of any kind and the majority usually rules. Doesn't matter if it kills people or not. JMTC

    Remember, movie stares are actors. In other words they are fakes, that's what an act is. Most of them could not hold down a real job. There are a few of them that are decent people but not many. Yet we still insist on making them rich. That is why I never go to movie theaters or watch pay per view anymore. Bad enough paying for the sat. dish as it is. Get over it and find a real hero like a war veteran, or Saint Judes Hospital or Save the TA TA's. Something real.

    It's not us regular folk on either side, it's our governments and law enforcement. Betcha if your a government official or the law you can go where you want when you want. Watch out folks, your freedoms are slowly slipping away and there is nothing you can do about it. To bad about our soon to be third world nations, to bad. Here come the dictators again.

    I hate to hear about things like this but gentlemen, those good old days are gone. I always lock up everything and what I can't lock I take with me and hope no one steals the whole dang bike. Just the way it is. I know there are probably a few places that you can still leave the doors unlocked, but the problem is you never know who is passing through.

    I had a tender cook a car battery once, I don't use them any longer. I just use a Schumacher SC-600A charger every 2 weeks or once a month and that is just fine. I never liked the idea of leaving any battery charging unattended anyway. I never did it with RC aircraft batteries and I won't do it again with car or bike batteries.

    Just get a Tracfone, 100 bucks a year for either 800 or a 1000 minutes.

    The old Vetter Windjammer, I remember those.

    I just let the answering machine take it. I set it for 2 rings and it picks up. If I am in earshot I listen to who it is and pickup if I want to. If I don't want to talk they can talk to the machine for 20 seconds, then it hangs up.

    To each his own. Some folks need the company of others when they ride, I do not. I like to find roads out in the country, not much traffic and very few people. If someone ask me to join them I might do it for a while but I generally will leave the pack after a bit. I don't even like to ride 2 up, I will do it occasionally, but not often. I don't even care to eat out. If I do I go after normal hours or I will just stop at a small store and get me some stuff to make a baloney samich.

    Congratulations and may you have many more. My folks have been married for 52 years. I don't know how you folks do it. I don't think I could live with the same woman that long. I am glad some can or I would not be here.
