Unbelievable price,you can`t even buy the wheels and tires for that much here in the Northwest,everybody wants a million dollars for their stuff around here,to much California influence I guess,I also rode Goldwings for a lot of years,I bought this Venture--92 and fell in love ,more power better handling,my wife says the seat is a lot better than the wing,great buy. :cool10:

Glad to hear you survived,even though I dislike reading stories like this,I live in N.Idaho and the deer population is terrible,I`ve always told everyone I hate deer,they are tasty though,good luck with your healing process.

#1--the logs are worth a lot of money,at least they are here in the Northwest,so I would be doing some investigating regarding that. I .didn`t realize that you were in Washington,I live in N.Idaho and people are selling the trees on their property all the time.

Hello all,well i still have my strange noise on decell and at idle,I have checked valve adjustment,checked cam chain tensioners,spark plugs, compression balanced carbs,replaced both rear cylinder plug caps,checked carb operation and diaphrams,checked for airleaks,I have a little noise in my clutch and it`s starting to slip,so I`m going to replace that next,I`m wondering about air cut-off valves or coils,any help or comments would be greatly appreciated. :confused:

That is why I went Harbor freight and bought a vacuum bleeder,it takes all the guess work out of bleeding,also much faster,and only cost about 30 bucks.

OK,rechecked all hoses slides,I noticed yesterday that when I started it,there was no abnormal noises,road about 5 miles got to operating temp,noise returned,listened with stethoscope-noise loudest at #3 cam cover.still have to check under cam cover(have to buy new gaskets first) by the way ears don`t flap,I wear a helmet and haven`t had a burrito in a while(could Have Been My homemade chile though--LOL):starz:

I`ll recheck all of these suggestions,by the way Puck,removing the filter and watching the slides was the first thing I did,just had a Senior Moment and forgot I did that--Thanks again for the suggestions.

I listened to the exhaust with stethoscope,could not pinpoint any leaks,also mileage is good-40-42--and performance hasn`t changed,I`m stumped.

I`ve also had really good luck with Pinwall--I`ve ordered several things from them and had no problems--Now the stupid Post Office is another story,I don`t think those people could hit their butts with both hands,my local group of clowns lost a part that came halfway around the world,yep they lost it between their loading dock and my PO box.

Hello everyone,my 92 VR just developed a fluttering noise on decell and at idle,seems to be coming from #3 cylinder area,check plug( nice and clean) checked compression-(all 180-185)-rebalanced carbs-(were only off a tiny bit)--any suggestions would be greatly appreciated--Thanks.:bang head:

I retired 2 years ago,mainly because of a heart attack,and decided that I had worked long enough,I started working when I was 12 on a farm,50 years of busting my butt and knuckles was plenty,plus I couldn`t crawl around in and out of cars anymore,my wife and I sold our expensive house(to ME LOL) and bought a Manufactured home,much cheaper to deal with,and now we have enough money to live on and do a lot of things we couldn`t do before.I`m a firm believer that good things come to he who waits---Good Luck.

I really never did understand the CCW permit crud,if your weapon is concealed how is anyone going to know your carrying it,I have one,but rarely carry concealed,I just feel that alot of states are going to fight this law because their going to lose a lot of money,personally I would love to save my 50.00 every 5yrs.On the other side of the coin,I don`t think the State Government should be able to overrule the Federal Government or the Constitution.
