I have a friend that has a GTL, and after riding it and riding next to it,I would never own one,the whine from the cam drive totally drives me crazy,When I`m riding next to it I can hear the gear whine over my 92 VR,it rides and handles good but for a bike that costs around 25,000 dollars I`m not impressed,the Gold Wing would be a lot more bike for the same money,plus he`s had it back to dealer for several electrical recalls--Just my opinion people, so please don`t take offence.--Oh,one other thing,it`s stupid fast--LOL.

I had some pretty cool cars that I wish I still had--2--69 dodge Super Bee`s 440--6pac--1 auto-1 -4 speed;4-62 chevy Impala`s--1-ss;69 charger R/T-with power sun roof--one of 38 made still have a 68 Pontiac Lemans that my oldest son is trying to put together with a 455-with 600-650 horse.

I didn`t see any comments on here about the Nolans,I`ve been wearing them for about 10 years,a little spendy but fit very well and have set up for blue tooth and intercom in the helmet.

Be careful Doug,Last year my side stand broke at the mount,don`t know why the part with the pass through hole in it snapped off along with the bolt,very heavy bike,took 2 people to pick up,bought new kickstand from bike salvage yard,seems ok.

I guess i got a late start,I was 28 when I rode my first street bike a 750 Honda,2 years later I bought the first Goldwing 1100 in Washington,put a Vetter fairing on it and was totally hooked,smooth and Quiet,amazing never looked back,I`m almost 65 now and still love it.

How about people that get on the freeway on the Acceleration ramp and go 40 mph until they get or try to get into the Freeway lane,nothing like being on a Motorcycle behind one of these Clowns.

On my 92 they`re for Helmet locks,

I have all kinds of junk in mine,gum,cell-phone,sunglasses--in the rear one I have a very small WD 40,tire gauge,spare fuses-pen pencils--like I said all kinds of junk.

I sometimes wonder why people have all these strange issues with name brand tires,I think the tires that the dealers are selling are already old,the only tires I ever had an issue with were the Continentals I got last year,and they were on clearance,I`ve run Avons for about the last 10 years and had absolutely no issues with them,I ran metzlers before that and had no problems with those either,I just didn`t like the noise hey made when on a curve,they whined,I think if you take care of them they will be fine,just check the date of manufacture on them before you buy them.

I've had three close calls in two days,people just don't pay attention,I even was flipped off my a lady who pulled out in front of me,please be safe out there,and never trust anyone in a car or truck,prayers to you Dan,hope you heal quickly.

If this guy wants 800.00 for this bike hes crazy,with all the issues you mentioned its worth about 200 bucks,just my opinion,but if you aren't into doing a lot of diagnosis and repair I'd walk away.

I used to smack the big nut with a hammer,or punch if I couldn't reach it with a hammer.
