Starter Clutch Mod
Dragonslayer replied to Dano's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Has anybody heard how Dano is doing and if he is feeling well enough to do Starter Clutch mod again. Mine has finally gone south and I really, really need one now. -
I'm counting on it, maybe we can get some Bear hunting in up thar in them N.GA, NC hills.
-
You got it, It would be great to have you hook with us. Our final destination in St Mary's is the St. Mary's Fraternal Order of Eagles club for the Saturday night Dinner/Dance activities
-
That does suck for you, sorry but, I'll talk to RandyR about stopping by Dawsonville on the way back. He has to go back that way and I can too. I've been wanting to talk to you anyway about the PGR missions.
-
I'm there, I hope I'll be able to be on the 87 VR by then I really would like to talk through the new programable TCI with some of you motorhead geeks. But it looks like I have a starter clutch problem to fix by then.

I generally believe that it is important to avoid being cynical about being open to and trusting of human nature when meeting and interacting with new people and acquaintances I encounter in life, to a point. Meaning that due my accumulated life experience I have been disappointed in hundreds if not thousands of people I have witnessed and encountered in all types of human interactive relationships. So I have developed what I believe to be a healthy and wise personal philosophy of being open and trusting of new people within limits and/or until proven by that person's actions and motivations to be untrustworthy. To be able to do this successfully, I feel that it is important to apply common sense and trust my instincts where it comes to assessing people's trustworthiness. I firmly believe that most successful way to developed trusted relationships is to first always be trustworthy with all of my dealings with everyone I interact with. Does that mean that philosophy is always fool proof and I'm never burned, Of course not. But I do feel that it is right more than wrong and a good life strategy. As far as the contacts, interactions and friendships I've experienced with the members of this forum I must and am pleased to state the following: In the years I have been a member of and have participated on this forum I can not recall a single occasion where I felt intentionally misled, taken advantage of or treated with any sort of disrespect or malice to any degree whatsoever. Without the technical advice, fair dealings and positive interactions I have experienced with every single person and event connected with this site, I would probably not be riding today. Most of the friendships that were born and developed as a result of my involvement on this site are among the most trusted relationships in my life. Due to the nature of the people I have experienced on this site I do not believe that a bad actor of ill intent would be tolerated or accepted for long on this site. My faith in the inherent good of human nature is confirmed by my enjoyment and participation in this forum. Do I feel the same about any other group of people or organization that I have ever been associated with in my life. I can't think of any. That is truly how I feel and I am proud to consider myself a member of this group of fine people.

Sunday night the clocks sprang forward an hour. Here in Atlanta the daffodils, jonquils and tulips have popped up and the Bradford pears are approaching full bloom. The weather guessers are forecasting 80 degrees this week, my floral Hawaiian shirts are finding their way to the front of the closet and my throttle hand has started to quiver. All of which are sure signs that riding season is upon us. With that in mind I am now motivated to complete my annual winter retrofit, maintenance and mod upgrade projects on the bike and look forward with adventure in my heart and planning on my mind for my Spring and Summer road trip schedule to catch up with old and new VR friends. Since I'm getting started a little too late to make Daytona Spring Bike Week :doh:and I don't anticipate having enough accrued vacation and cash flow to do Sturgis again this year. So far this is what I'm thinking as doable It might be about time to resurrect a N. Ga M&E day run and/or maintenance Day. In the next 4 to 6 weeks Myself and my friend Richard (Owner of the 07 Midnight Venture loaner I've been riding for the past two years) have tentatively planned a back roads route trip from Atlanta to St. Mary's/King bay, Coastal Georgia for a three day weekend trip. Free bird's Ohio Maintenance Day for sure this year in early June. The Western NY International Rally if at all possible. Isn't this a off year for Vogel and has anybody mentioned a Asheville M&E. Until then and most any decent weekend in between I'm up for a day trip or weekend overnighter within range. The point being what are y'all planning. Who's game to come with or invite to whatever rides you may be planning within my doable range:thumbsup2:, work schedule:bang head: and available disposable resources.

I had the same experience, I was about to freak then after about the tenth try ..... OOOOOP There it is. Shooooooosh:doh:

and no messy clean up at the end of the day

Or you could just yank the trailer out and insert another. As a pro, don't let anybody tell you different. Everbody, i don't care how good you are has days when a steal cannon ball will fracture like an egg without provacation. Sometimes it's best to just walk away for a while and attack it again with fresh start later. Good luck Walter

OMG.... now I have those visuals to work with.

I'm starting to SLOWLY figure this thing out. I can now down load MP3 music and am looking for just the right ring tones. While downloading music from Rhapsody and being a practicing Karoake novice, I was thinking that there must be an app that downloads Karoake versions of music that shows the lyrics of the music. Does anyone know of such an app. Also list any other cool apps that will work with with Android phones.

I quess I can chalk this one up to one of Milo's many mysteries because the problem has seemed to have corrected itself somehow. -

It is Gold but, not a Gold wing in the sense that you are referring to it. I've thought about running it into the ex's trailer before but, I don't think my son would ever forgive me for that. A cow might be easier. -
