I'm not saying I'm just saying if you go to his web site and look under the tab for partners and sponsors the Iron Butt Association is clearly listed as a sponsor. Any way I did my part for the Eagle Riders of Ga and chased him from the Ga line to Savannah then headed north to Atlanta. My ride today was probably less than half of what his ride is today because on last check he still riding in NC now. I'm beat and can only wonder how he is holding up.
-
I wouldn't dream of questioning an authority on the subject and I only ask this to find out the truth but,,,,,,,Are you sure? It appears that both the Guinness Book of world records and the Iron Butt Association are sanctioning and sponsoring this ride. I would be interested in finding out exactly what the case actually is.

Well as of this minute Darrell is near Tallahasse heading this way on I 10. when he crosses the state line we are supposed to meet him at the welcome center and ride with him to up I95 to Savannah. Then I'm turning north on 16 to Atlanta. Coming down here I rode Hwy 23 from Macon to St Mary's. Which coincedently is the same rode Randy R and I rode to columbus, Ohio for Don's maintenace day and back. so in the past two weeks I have seen every foot of Hwy 23 from Atl To Columbus and back then Atl to furthest southeast corner of Ga on the coast.:7_6_3[1]:A lot of time on the same road for me.

HMMMMMMM......Interesting point..... I really would not argue it because I do not know nor have I made that claim..... It sounds like you know and I believe I would ask that question of the IronEagle folks.........or at least they should clarify thier claim. I'm doing it for the cause not the glory. Hurts my butt to think about it. What I really want to know is how do I get my IB saddlesore 1000 patch. I've got 1200 document from Amarillio to Atlanta in 24 hours.

This weekend it is a 1,200 mile ride for me from Atlanta to St Mary's Ga. and back. The plan is to ride down tomorrow morning spend the night and then on Sunday morning lead the St Mary's Eagle Riders (As Ga State FOE Eagle Rider Ride Coordinator) to the Florida, Ga state line to meet and welcome Darrel Rall as he enters Ga on his 25,000 mile ride in 25 consecutive days to raise $15,000,000 dollars for the diabetes research center at the university of Iowa. Check out his mission/ project and real time coverage of his ride at www.ironeagle.org By the way, any riders that would like to ride or catch up and participate are welcome. just PM me.

I had gotten a pink ( Manly Pink) t shirt from the Wellington F.O.E. from their Poker run for Breast cancer which read "Big or small let's save them all" which is certainly a noble cause in my opinion. And when I returned to MD it was highly covented by at least one young lady that I had never met. I probably should have done the gentlemanly thing and peeled it off and given it to her on the spot..... but, I kinda liked the shirt myself. Instead I tried to appease her by giving her my new equally attractive pink bandana. Which was imprinted with a message about courage, inner strength (Intestinal fortitude). Coincedentally some of the gangee tattoed on my left wrist represent those exact same concepts. But, as pointed out by Don I apparently fell short of my Dragonslayer motto "Your wish is my command" since I did not peel it off on the spot. So..... now I'm gonna have to try and track done the young ladie at the F.O.E. who was selling them for the Eagle Riders Poker run and see if I can get any more to forward to Chris from Il to keep my honor and reputation as a Dragonslayer intack.

A cyber space cosmic connection between Big Tom and Swifty.....go figure
-
Thats probably my Butterfinger Blizzard dripping down his face
-
Now wait a minute.... she seemed fully clothed to me at the time..... I believe that if she had been naked I would have noticed that.
-
But, But.... in my defense,..... I had only owned it for a few minutes..... and it was the first (manly)pink shirt that I had ever owned.... and, she didn't look that needy to me. If she had I would have given it up, my blood and maybe a kidney if she needed it...... I did give her my brand new pink bandana..... and I had already forfieted my Butterfinger Blizzard and a portion of my dinner to Big Tom.......I did buy VR merchandise, parts, raffle tickets and donations freely................. Never mind..... PM me her name and address and I'll send her the shirt........ I feel so ashamed.

Don, I truly appreciate all that you do to bring all of us together in the forum and all the work it takes to pull off the annual maintenance day event so flawlessly, including manipulating the weather. I also appreciate the courage and faith Eileen must possess to allow a traveling herd of Venturous nomadic wanderers invade your lovely domicile and property, year after year. The two of you are truly the most gracious and generous host. I feel fortunate to have been invited, able to attend and welcomed to this wonderful event and grateful at your warm and apparently heartfelt invite for future gatherings. The experience and memories will stay fondly in my mind, heart and soul for the balance of my life. The pictures of which will help keeping them fresh in my mind. I learned and laughed alot and will know better next time what not to do. Like walking near Big Tom with an unopened DQ Butterfinger Blizard. No one knows which way the worm will turn in any of our lives, but, as much as possible I will be planning to be present at future MD events. Thanks my friend for all that you do. Now I have that visual to work with and the lingering after taste of Black Death in my mouth.
-
It's called Black Death for a reason. The pond Monsters are an urban Legend/Myth A packed umbrella would have been more usefull than the packed harpoon Beware of long heart tugging stories told by Skydoc There was no Strippers tent at MD in spite of what Starbog says. Always take your cold weather gear to MD no matter how hot it was last year and it is held in June. Bring more money next time to Skydoc's table It's great to find a new audience for my old jokes. It's a small world, found new friends who live in Ohio that met and married a mile from my house in Atlanta It was not neccessary to compromise my morals by stealing that roll of toilet paper from the motel the night before after Don posted to bring your own. They had plenty. Beware of Starbog's five dollar footlong. It was not a winner (in my case) Pink is a manly color. Never walk on site with an unopened Dairy Queen sack containing a Butterfinger Blizzard especially if Big Tom is around. If RandyR predicts that we are about to ride into the storm of the century with 70mph wind 3" rain per hour and 2" hail, disregard there is only smooth sailing ahead. Yamma Mama and Moped are just as I imagined them to be over the past few years, and that's a good thing. This event is attended only by old and new friends. Don and Eileen are super people and the most gracious and generous host. But everyone that has ever been to a MD already knew that. Don, Thanks for the good times and great memories I had a great time. It was well worth the long ride and price of admission. I forgot there was no admission price, or was there????????.... Do I owe you any money???????....... Do you take paypal????? Love you man, mean it

You are too, can't I have more than one bestest buddies. I still like you even though you hoovered my Butterfinger blizzard and snagged my diamond cut cylinder covers.
-
I'll turn you on to something you may find usefull to fix the pinholes in the diaphrams. take them out and spray them with Aerosol liquid rubber on both sides, let them dry, put them back in and your good to go for a couple years. A lot cheaper than $80.00/each for diaphrams.
-
I'm not saying There was anyone at MD that I didn't like but, Angel turned me on to some safety chrome I had been looking for was a super friendly person to me from the first handshake. The beer investment was well worth it and my pleasure.
-
I can't believe you came this way and didn't bother to stop by and pick up the insurance premium. I guess I'll just have to call it in as usual.
-
Ready or not here we come. RandyR and I stopped at ashland Kentucky for food R &R but we should be rolling in on Thursday afternoon.
-
This is my first time but, I did know about the pond monsters..... So I was carefully to not forget my harpoon.....
-
I'm gonna ride one of them to the north border 700 miles for Don's maintenance day next week. I just haven't decided which one the 87 MK2 or the 07 midnight second gen.

I have been having a similar symptom. I believe I have improved by eliminating posible bad electrical connections. -
TCI Problems
Dragonslayer replied to Dragonslayer's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
The tach/engine drop out has seemed to go away since I uploaded the VMAX old VentureV88.IGN program to th TCI. The high range acceleration stumble and surge has decreased significatly since I cut out the quick connect plugs and straight wired to the TCI adapter cable. However, the gas mileage problem does not seemed to have improved any. -
