  2. Cool:thumbsup2: I saw my bike at Vogel and Ashville but never did see me. I need to figure out how to post on Youtube I've got a couple of cool videos I had made in the past.
  3. Cheated Death Once again
  4. Thanks Tom.... I don't think I will have a problem ending the intimate relationship I've had with the remotes and the sofa. I'm really looking forward to becoming a productive member of society once again.
  5. That's what I figured
  6. Thanks Annie, I was able to verify being able to arrange time off for Vogel during the interview process so we are still go for our lunch date at the Dillard House
  7. The April 1st start date did give me pause for a minute but I didn't think it wise to appear to be too superstitious about starting a new job. But I am I'm not sure if April 1 is actually one of the recognized government Holidays but I do think Arbor day and Ground Hog day are. They haven't given me the Holiday list yet.
  8. After 8 months of daytime TV and looking for a job on the Internet I finally got the job offer call today to start April 1. This will be an administrative job managing local county government facilities. Looks like a great recession proof job with great benefits and all of the government holidays.
  9. Now what I don't get is that Northern Ground Hog Potsatanie Phil did not see his shadow meaning an early Spring and our Southern version General Boregard Lee did see his shadow meaning six more weeks of winter....... How come we are riding amongst the blooming Cherry Blossoms, Daffodils and Bradford pear trees and YALL are still shoveling snow.....What's up wid dat? I'm not say I'm just saying someone was lying
  10. Or you could just put your gun to your head and pull the trigger

  14. Yes this morning at 7:02 AM it happened. Although I never did put my bike up for the winter and have been riding right along..... I sure feel sorry for those of you that are still digging out from underneath that white stuff.

  18. I always rode mine to Daytona..... except maybe once just in the beginning until I figured it out that was not .
  19. Maybe next year
  20. I hate the cultural vernacular of inserting Know what I'm saying at the end of every sentence. I ran a bike shop years ago in Conyers. One of the owners was a Henry county cop/part time bike shop owner. He had the habit of inserting into every sentence the words "and stuff" After a while it drove me crazy.
  21. Yesterday, The North Georgia annual "March on Rome" M&E happened on a beautiful early Spring day perfect for riding. The turnout was lighter than in past years but we still had a wonderful time and ride with five bikes touring the Northwestern Georgia mountain country. :7_6_3[1]:My ride started with a sunrise ride from Atlanta to Dahlonega to hook up with RandyR. :7_6_3[1]:From there we cut across country to Dawsonville for breakfast where I had the local breakfast meal legend known as the "Big Nasty". If you ever get the chance and find yourself in Dawsonville for breakfast the "Big Nasty" is a must do. It begins with an eight inch Cat's head biscuit, a chicken fried steak, covered with three over easy eggs, Bacon then drowned with cheese and milk gravy. Trying with all my might, I could not eat the whole thing. Then Westward on Hwy 53 through Tate to Calhoun where we met up with 1JoeRanger and his wife.:7_6_3[1]: From there we continued to Rome, Fuddrucker's where Meach and his bride were waiting.:7_6_3[1]::7_6_3[1]: Fuddruckers food was just as I remembered, too much to eat. Especially after the "BigNasty". We had a late arrival (whose ID I didn't catch) with his wife. + After lunch 1JoeRanger took the lead and guided is up the old Dalton road from Rome to Dalton. :7_6_3[1]::7_6_3[1]::7_6_3[1]:To my surprise there was a road in Georgia that I had not been down before. Before Yesterday. And it was a great ride through Wildlife Management Area, National Forest, State park and farmland country. In Dalton the customary pictures were taken and we said our Goodbyes then Ventured off in different directions. RandyR and I :7_6_3[1]:attended the Eastman Gun show is Dalton before heading off across country on Hwy 52 through Chatsworth, Fort Mountain, Ellijay DQ:essen_018: (Big Tom Eat your Heart out:rasberry:), back to Dahlonega. While on Fort Mountain we passed the other half of our group going the other way:Venture::7_6_3[1]: Entering Dahlonega we honked and waived as I split off:7_6_3[1]:heading back to Atlanta. Arriving home safely after an approximate 400 mile ride for me. I had a blast. Pics will have to be posted by others since I had forgotten my camera:doh:
