I had a bunch of parts (Handle bars and motor covers)professionally polished on my 1st gen to get the yellowed varnish off. It made a big difference. But, Then you do have to wax them to keep them from oxidizing and going back dull.

About the plug kit.... It's kinda like having sex wearing a condom but, you leave the condom behind.... Did that give you a useful visual

I think I paid about $20 for my slime compressor which came with tire plug kit and a pint of green slime. I've used the compressor and tire plugs many, many times but, have yet to use the green slime. I think I bought it auto zone. No need for going big bucks for a portable compressor. There is a organization called B.A.M. which is free to join and gives free roadside assistance for bikes. I see them at the bike shows all the time.

Puc, WildHair69 was/is one of our members who was known to cross the country to get a hot dog at some meet & Eat somewhere. He used to be on here regular but, I think his health got bad and there may have been some life changes. At any rate we don't hear from him or see him much anymore, In fact as I write this, has anyone heard from Wild Hair lately? I miss that old codger.

I had a friend that bought a white police special HD he thought it would be cool to get a two tone half shell helmet like the motorcycle cops wear. Until, he realized that everyone in front of him locked down on the breaks and started to go 10 mph when they saw him in the rear view mirror.
