  4. It will never die, It will just morph into some other entity just as the Thread Killer has seemed to morph into IT. And Puc, That would be KFC not TKC that is the IT of fast food southern style fried chicken in 3 new flavors:thumbsup2:..... Just saying
  5. OR.......Would you like to super size that order, Sir.
  6. Because IT is so big in nature IT can not be contained by only one thread.
  7. :backinmyday:You would have to begin with having the overall, big picture, cosmic view of what It is or what IT is supposed to be, and what influences interact with IT that affects It's gravitational pull or total operation. Then you go about micro managing the influences that are affecting It in a negative way for a positive outcome.
  8. Don't make me micro-manage this thread.
  9. May not be the best idea to mention us in the interview..... However, on my second interview for this job I did mention that My biker name was Dragonslayer and that did seem to cinch the deal. I'm not sure what Bubber will do for you though.
  10. pretty much makes me chuckle....just saying
  11. Who said party:group cheers::group cheers:
  12. Offer to ride honor guard
  13. I wonder if an old drive in movie car speaker could be adapted some way. That might look pretty cool.
  14. Hey Puc, Are you sure you and Tippy don't want to move down here to the sunny South where it don't snow all year. You know how pretty it is in North Georgia in the Spring. I need more friends like you to hang around and go barn shopping with. Think about it.
  15. A few years back I had a camper and old pick-up truck parked on a hunting lease. To save on gas money by not driving the truck back and forth from the house, I rode the first gen to the lease with a rifle in scabbard strapped to the bike. One Saturday, along the way near Athens, Georgia there was a Boss-Hoss dealership that was having some kind of event. I pulled in to check it out. I was somewhat embarrased when a crowd of 200 people stopped to stare and point when I hop of the bike in camo with a high powered rifle strapped to the ride.
  16. I can't believe your trunk holds up. A few years back I carried a bike bag that was made to strap on the luggage rack on top of the trunk. I only carried my rain gear in it so I could grab it in a hurry when it started to rain. It was not near 25 pounds, just after a short time I had to replace the trunk because the added weight and wind caught by the bag eventually made the whole bottom of the trunk completely cracked and broke through.
  17. This story brought a tear to my eye. There is a reason for everything in his great plan. the amazing part of life is the wonder of watching it unfold.
  18. That's what I did works great $150.00 trailer kit from northern tool, bolt on a car top luggage carrier. The main thing is make sure wheels and tires are rated for highway speeds.
  19. You are absolutely right except that I learned early in my touring career that neither a 1st or 2nd gen are good choices for off-roading. Just saying. If you think picking one up on dry land is difficult. Try picking one up in the middle of a creek you tried to ford.
  20. Truth be known I can't sleep at all unless the TV is on. If some one turns the TV off after I'm asleep I jump up as if I heard a gun shot.
  21. For me this thread has turned into a very interesting research project on the human psychological condition. I may just use it as the topic of my masters thesis. Why has the Why thread lasted so long and said so little. But the ones about heart touching subjects about the good part of the human existence quickly die. Why are people so quick to salute the flag or say they support the vets, but, don't bother to vote. And then complain about the S.O.B's in office. I contend that as a species we are mostly lazy, selfish and hypercritical. Not us of course, I mean the rest of the species. Now let's see how that effects the thread.
  22. A trailer is a must especially if your camping but, the what to take list is pretty much about your personal needs and preferences. Experience will tell you in a hurry what to take and what is a waste of space. Think through every item on the list. Space and weight are key factors in making your selections. The objective is to stay warm, safe and dry no matter where you find yourself on the open road.
  23. Thanks for the read lead, I'll look it up, I need a good read. Did you just ease drop on my last phone conversation. I haven't been feeling at the top of my game for a few days and as a result I know I have been letting some of my co workers grind me down. It's funny that I needed you to remind me of my own motto when I need it the most. Thanks for that.
