The D.G.M. welcomes and encourages all interested parties to form a Syndicate Alliance by contributing to the accumulated bid of Dragonslayer aka the D.G.M. Current bid now stands at $60.00 You should support me because: 1. It was my idea in the first place to start the THREAD KILLER CHAMPIONSHIP thread. 2. I too am a nice guy. 3. It was my idea to make it a fund raiser thread for St. Judes. 4. I need the badge recognition because I have only one badge for Patriot Guard even though I have supported many causes on the VR and attended many M&Es. 5. I am a fine upstanding member of the VR community in good standing with only a few off color remarks blemishing my good name.

I think it looks great but it would be neat to have the VR logo on the back....... Just saying

The D.G.M. realizing that the bidding has jumped to an amount to rich for some peoples blood offers a new twist to the competition that should sweeten the pot. This new twist should allow others to play on whatever level they feel comfortable. Say you would like to contribute but not at the level of the highest bidder you can sponsor a current bidder by stating "I would like to increase the bid of (add current bidders name here) by $??.?? US. Bringing the total bid to $???.??" At the end of the competition the current bidder with the highest accumulated bid wins. I think it would be perfectly acceptable for any bidders to solicit and politic for pledges from any VR members or outside contributors interested in bidding for the St. Jude cause. So far the current bidders are, in order of highest bids : Currently as of 5/2/2014: Dingy $200.00 + Puc's $40.00 = $240.00 Aussie Annie $150.00 US Sleeper Hawk $100.00 Dragonslayer AKA D.G.M. $60.00 + Bongo's $20.00= $80.00 Bongobobny $55.00 AKRefugee $50.00 Cowpuc aka Pucster $40.00 However, to keep track of the bidding it is important that all bidding be done on this thread so no one gets confused by there being open bidding on multiple threads.

The D.G.M. thinks that is a good idea, but not knowing how to go about that would have to leave it up to someone else to design and install a St.Jude/ Thread Killer Badge.

I still shed a tear when I think about it

Don't tell the American Pickers dudes. -
Wanting to ride, today I went ahead and ponied up the $44.00 for the Yamaha replacement O.E.M. pads. Had I known the bottom was going to fall out 20 miles from the house I probably would have opted for the cheaper versions on the net and waited the 2 to 5 business days for them to brung em to me. It's not like I don't have a nice car with AC I can tool around in the rain with. I'm getting to old to ride the MM in the rain..... I can do IT but I just don't like IT.

I feel the same way when I think back to the time when I sold my first car...... a 1967 Pontiac G.T.O...... for $600.00. That car was pristine with a Burgundy paint job, Chrome baby Moon hubcaps, a white leather interior on black carpet, Hurst four speed in the floor with an 8 ball knob on the top, 3 deuces penetrating the hood and a set of fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror. At the time it only got four miles to the gallon and I couldn't afford the gas at $.35/gal That car is worth over $30,000 today -
Witnessing this drama unfold and eyeing the coveted Avatar Medal and title of Master Thread killer, the D.G.M.:12101:who has been incognito wearing the Pucster's vintage World War II bombardier safety goggles (and realizing by glancing at his spell checking device that there is actual a word as Googlies) tactfully makes slow cat-like movement to the center of the room without being noticed by the crowd. Having received his early training as a Dragonslayer, Ninja, Nudist monk, and master of not invisibility but camouflage blending in and being UN-noticed in a crowd is no hill for a climber such as the D.G.M.. Once strategically located in a spot where he can masterfully step out of the shadows into full view of all poised in that static filled environment the D.G.M. suddenly appears long enough to shout at the top of lungs.....Sixty..... then just as suddenly disappears into the shadows and only the sound of the 2000 MM cranking and revving up then trailing off into the distance was heard until............

And the bidding is off:mo money:

I guess if your into paying high dollar for worthless junk..... I guess that was pretty cool. But, I don't know I'm more into riding a newer one than scraping rust of an ancient one. That's just me

The Diabolical Genius Mastermind has a fail safe plan to kill this thread, it goes like this. Say who ever wants to see the thread die the most can place a bid:mo money:for the thread to die for sure on the day of B2Mom & Pop's M & E. At a predetermined time on that date we will have Freebird kill the thread. The highest bidder at that time will win the title of Master Thread Killer, Earns a avatar medal and gets the added pride of donating that amount to St. Judes fund raiser at B2mom & Pop's M & E. Might as well since this is an off year for Vogel.

Ya see PUC,........ I've done that kinda thing before and got the scars to prove IT...........I just don't heal as quick as I used to. The up side was the pretty :223:s -
Rear Brake pads for a 2nd gen same as pads for a 1st gen $41.95 plus tax. What's a good place to get aftermarket on line maybe a little cheaper?

Your talking me into it.... That is if crazy Atlanta boys are allowed up there too? Send Pm on how much you think them puppies are gonna run

Puc is the one that needs that rig. I already have two rigs of my own. I like it tough just thinking I could take the car top luggage carrier off of mine and build one just like it. I would think about doing a set of plans and selling them like a kit thing.
