See there you go. That's why I was confused, $1,400 makes more sense to me.
It drives me crazy when we as a culture, in our communication styles, abbreviates, uses acronyms or meaningless words to describe something. (i.e. Whatzitsname, dumaflauty, whatchamacallit,...) that we assume everyone else understands what we are talking about.
No Puc, I do understand that you have a rare gift and talent for finding the great finds. I am very envious of you for that.
As far as the safety and comfort comment. You evidently like to use your 1st gen Mk1 to do cross country. :7_2_104[1]:Here again I envy you for that.
You must be a much better rider than me because due to the weight of these bikes I would never dream of using a Touring street bike :7_6_3[1]:as a duo sport bike. :7_2_102[1]:I really don't even like to go on gravel roads even though I sometimes do.
I did a few trips on my 1st gen like you do in the beginning and found very quickly when it comes to motorcycle camping I enjoy it more with a few creature comforts. ( i.e. a blow up pillow top queen size mattress, folding camp chairs, the pop-up shade gazebo, a cooler comes in handy, camp stove, cooking utensils, lanterns, enough changes of clothes to stay clean, dry and comfortable for the length of the trip, not to mention appropriate weather gear for the unexpected weather changes that has bitten me in the back side more then once.) With that said a trailer is an absolute must to me.
If You enjoy it the way you roll more power to you:thumbsup2:....
Just not me.
