  1. That doesn't sound BORING. You lose.
  2. Who is that monkey in the mirror. That can't be me. I'm really much younger than that monkey.
  3. I guess you are right. Your not bald are you.
  4. I think that is a good idea. Someone needs to form a committee to think of New adventures that 60 year old fat, bald man can do that he hasn't already done.
  5. I'm bored all the time because I have already been everywhere, done everything, rode every road, walked every trail and can't think of anything else to do. I need a New adventure but can't think of one. So now I'm laying around watching movies I've already seen.
  6. 100 ° here.
  7. 220, 400, 800 whatever it takes. This is second try. The hard part is getting the spray gun to spray right.
  8. I just checked my mega millions numbers..... Not today
  9. How did I not know that?
  10. You mean that's his first name.
  11. Or, I watched the new show "Riding with Norman Reedus" of Daryl of walking dead fame. As much as I like his character on the walking dead the bike ride show seemed a little lame. Being from the area I'd been to all those places he went about a hundred times. TAIL OF THE DRAGON, FONTANA DAM, BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY, CHEROKEE, ASHVILLE I AM REALLY A SOUTHERN RED NECK AND I HUNT WITH A CROSSBOW NO ONE IS FOLLOWING ME WITH CAMERAS MAKING ME A STAR ON T.V.. I FEEL CHEATED.
  12. I've been sanding body parts for a New paint job on places that got scratched. I hate sanding.
  13. Yammer you never stop amazing me from outlaw motorcycle gang to prison guard to bear bait. No wonder the warden don't want you leaving the house.
  14. Eck, I mean no disrespect to your name but, I do believe yours is one of the most unusual last names I have ever heard. I was always curious what culture that name comes from and what it means. I mean the real origin not the one your daddy told you.
  15. Might just do that. The downside is instead of spending $50 in gas in the scoot the convertible will cost probably three times that much. The upside is air conditioning, plenty of room to carry as much gear as I want plus one,two or three. No falling over. In the vehicle that is.
  16. Just paid my dues so I'm guessing I'm good to go for another year even though I'm about to give the midnight back and I'll be bikeless for awhile.
  17. Living here in Atlanta, the news is full of these types of reports everyday. Every time I walk into a restaurant or fill up with gas or even driving my car minding my own business I'm wondering who is beside me.what is their state of mind. Am I in a crazy person's radar at the moment. Part of my job is to be responsible for security in the six facilities I manage. But, I'm not allowed to carry a weapon. The general public coming into our buildings are. Two floors of the building my office is in are devoted to serving the citizens of the county with mental health issues. Our guards do not carry guns and are little more than warm bodies in uniform that report problems as they occur but are not equipped, trained or authorized to do anything to stop a problem in progress. I give training classes on active shooter and emergency response , the bottom line is situational awareness, run, hide or fight. And have your affairs in order just in case. None of us are truly safe. I believe in open carry everywhere for.law abiding citizens. I also believe in more restrictive screening of lawful gun owners. Does that make me bad? I just don't see the point of open carry if we are lax about who we allow to carry.
  18. When I was 16 I was involved in a life changing motorcycle car 150 mph combined impact head on collision. After being extracted from the top of a dogwood tree there was three months in a coma. 1 1/2 years in traction then three years in a wheel chair. During that time the Doctors were telling me to resign myself to spending the rest of my life in a wheelchair. Being depressed over my circumstances my Mom would encourage me by saying " Don't let this Dragon slay you, you be the Dragonslayer" After much intestinal fortitude, physical therapy and determination I did finally climb out of that wheelchair. Living through that experience I learned to understand how any adversity can be overcome when you set your mind to it. Since then I can not think of anything I really wanted I did not achieve. I learned to love to solve problems or slay dragons as I refer to it. My profession as facility manager is very much about solving problems and Dragonslaying I didn't ride for 36 years after that accident but, When I did climb back on and ride again it was on my 86 mk2 Venture Royale. That experience once again changed my life and I became to realize that directly and indirectly, even over the 36 years that I didn't ride motorcycling has defined my life. So the name stuck.
  19. Did you mean incarcerated or incinerated?
  20. As much as I would have liked to pull this off, there was not a great deal of interest generated for the idea. Some other family matter things did come up. With this in mind I hate to say that we decided to not attempt this event this year. Maybe next year we can pull it off.
  21. My experience with black paint is that when you spray clear coat over flat black it turns into gloss black
  22. I didn't notice a cassette player. Does it have one?
  23. Can anyone direct me to a reference for 2nd gen factory paint codes?
  24. I made it home safe and sound yesterday afternoon. The last 100 miles from Chattanooga to Atlanta was the worst with the hottest day of the year in Georgia at 97 Degrees. But otherwise is spite of the heat and the cicadas I had a great time. Thanks Don and Eileen for graciously hosting this event
  25. All chicken jokes aside. I made it to Ashland KY as planned with no problems and scheduled. Had dip in the pool, a couple of adult libations with fellow traveled at the pool, a nice dinner at the golden coraL next door, a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast. After a shower and loading the bike I'll be back on my way. I'm estimating 233 miles to go. See y'all soon.
