  2. DITTO glad you're moving forward. Keep in touch.
  3. They are here in Georgia. In fact the hot lanes that they charge a fee to ride in are free to motorcycles. But you have to pre register to get your sensor sticker.
  4. Be mindful of deer on the parkway. Skyline to Blue ridge parkway is a greAt ride south.
  5. No politics there are plenty of other places to vent your political view. But, I am for off motorcycle topic area. I also agree that there is a wealth of information on this site. I tend to have more trust in the opinions of others on this site then a stranger. I've never been steered wrong yet by a brother venturerider.
  6. Finally got eyes on report that there was no damage to mom's place. One less thing to worry about I guess. Hopefully she gets transferred to rehab up here today. I don't see her being able to get back down there anytime soon.
  7. No need to cut them down they seem to fall down on their own.
  8. Huffing exhaust fumes can't be good for you.
  9. I saw those errors yesterday but they seem to have gone away.
  10. Just talked to brother in law.he is safe with a lot of tree damage in the neighborhood. None on his house. No flooding where he is. Clean up to follow and waiting for roads to get cleared.
  11. Normally if I run into a problem like this first thing I do is remove the radiator cap...... Then I drive a different vehicle under the cap. Then reinstall cap by turning it to the right........ Problem solved.
  12. Mom's surgery went well and she was resting comfortably being her regular PITA self when I left the hospital. Now worrying about brother in law who is still in Bluffton bracing for the worst. Looks like he may get it depending on which way the worm will turn.
  13. My experience Get on Facebook and you will get up to second updates on everyone. You'll soon know what they ate for every meal and everyplace they ever go. It helps if you go to all of the family reunions to stay on the A Contact list. I Don't. I do get to catch up with everyone at the funerals. Don't do weddings anymore.
  14. They say seafoam is good for what ails ya but they used to say the same about Castor oil. Based on my experiences with Castor oil I'm thinking I wouldn't drink it if I was you, Puc.
  15. Well my mother was mandatorially evacuated from Hilton Head on Wednesday. She came north with her traveling companion to Byron, Ga near Macon. As soon as I was thinking she was safe, I get a call from her traveling companion yesterday morning telling me that she has fallen in the lobby of the hotel and has broken her hip. Now I'm at the hospital in Macon waiting for her to go into surgery for a hip replacement. Just goes to show you, if it ain't one DANG thing it's another DANG thing. I'm still worried about my brother in law who is a I'M GONNA STICK IT OUT COME HELL OR HIGH WATER sort of guy who is still down there in Bluffton, SC. Hope it turns out to be neather.
  16. What cha talking about????? Its just now getting cool enough to ride.
  17. Prayers are with you and I hope this means your new turbo will give you the boost you need. Good luck on your exhaust volumetric efficiency. But I do have few questions. Does this mean microwave popcorn is out? What about TV remotes and garage door openers. How about radio controlled cars, drones, planes and snow storm making machines.
  18. I too had to settle for a HD Dunlap III in New Mexico. I hated to put HD tire on my Yamaha but I figured being the rear tire behind the saddle bags no one would notice. And since I had no choice that used HD Dunlap was my only option in Tucumcari, NM on a weekend. Actually I could have ordered a tire of my choice online and waited until Thursday when UPS would be coming thru. BUT tx2sturgis and silver bullet were waiting for me in Amarillo. Silver bullet did offer to bring me a tire from Amarillo but by the time I got that call I already had the HDD III mounted. Thanks to a trick wild hair 69 gave me over the phone on how to get the rear tire off without removing the saddlebags. The trick was to take the front wheel off which allow you to Jack the rear end up high enough for the rear wheel to come out from the bottom. Looking back I got more mileage on that used HDD III then I have ever gotten on any new tire I have ever bought.
  19. Looks like a greAt set done right. To bad I don't need any right now.
  20. First there Is one the a second one on the opposite side to balance things out then you start collecting them then before you know it you have a Tweeks redo.
  21. I used to have a bumper sticker on an old vehicle which read, Cats flattened for free
  22. I love this site for the wealth of knowledge and wisdom contain within. Just think... this morning I had never heard the term volumetric efficiency and now I know what it means.... and understand the concept.... I think I might have even spelled it right.
  23. Hmmmm, sounds like fun........ I'm thinking about it.
  24. How bad do you want it? Would be my first question. If you want it with all of your heart and are willing to fight every inch of the way, Then do it. Don't let anybody deter you and you will be a success. If you doubt yourself stay where you are.
  25. That's Wally World for you.
