Shussss, Can you keep a secret Don. This is all part of my master plan to goat Flyingfool to lob some of that frozen precipitation our way. We are going through a severe drought down here and I'm afeared the well may dry up. The ponds, rivers and creeks are already looking a little puney themselves. I'd be glad to pay off a can of seafoam if that would get us some drinking water heading this way. After all no matter what Puc sez you can't drink sea foam. Well maybe you can but I don't advise it. Keep it under your hat and don't tell FOOL what I'm up to. I'd hate for my master plan to get foiled again.

Don has the power to zap em.

I bet him a can of sea foam he can't hit me all year.:nanner:

I know facing this part of your parent's phase of life is difficult. I'm going through the same thing with my mother. I recently had to face issues of getting her power of attorney and her deciding what she wanted as far as her advanced care directive. Even though she can't function on her own she still holds on to the hope of returning home where she lives by herself and driving again. I don't see it happening and am making plans for her to live with me where can take care of her. Old folks, like I'm sure I will when the time comes, fight hard to maintain their independence. I think that the best thing that you can do is convince them in a loving way it is the best thing for them and the motoring public.

I once had a boss who would raise the price on a piece of real estate that wasn't drawing traffic rather than lowering it. His philosphy Was that by raising the price your hitting a better quality of buyer. It always seemed to work.

I still say Flyinfool ain't got the range to hit me down here.

I once rode my 1st gen so fast the earth's rotation reversed....... But only for a short period.

I took my bike hunting one time and strapped a 30-06 in a scabbard to the passenger hand rails. The ride back was better with a deer over the passenger seat.

I always like myself no matter how many others don't.

What activates the POST like and thank buttons. I've noticed that many of my post don't have that option. Is it something that I may have accidentally deleted or is someone messing with me. I'm trying to not take it personally but truth be known, I'm a little sad that others get high fives for their post and I don't.

my thoughts exactly. I even have a spotless driving record. -

Hey Kat, I get it and I am sorry for your loss and suffering. I am appalled every day of what happens in my part of the state. I'm afraid for all of us. I'm not minimizing the tragedy I'm just saying most all of the time we don't know all of the facts. I don't know I wasn't there. I heard it differently from your take.

How so? Who knows what makes a person flip out. Two many events happen when normally "sane" people "go postal". People's emotions, circumstances, society, the weight of the universe can pile up on a person until they snap and go off the deep end. Not that I take it light that police that are in harm's way every day of their life tragically are injured and killed, I don't. But this whole event started by a man being harassed by his neighbors over a ongoing period of time by their kids on dirt bikes and 4 wheelers. What if the man believed he was being attacked and was in fear of his life. What if the light was in his eyes at night and he couldn't see who was attacking him. I'm not saying he was justified I'm just saying I don't know all the facts because I was not there at that point in time. I just think too many people rush to judgement and loudly voiced opinions when they don't know all the facts on both sides of the fence. I can only pray for all of the people and families involved and all of us because this type of thing seems to happen more frequently every day. The government may be at fault for many things but, I don't understand how it played a part in this.

And you can kill werewolfs with silver bullets. But you need a Woden stake through the heart to kill vampires but what I don't get is if vampires and zombies are essentially the same why can't you kill a zombie with a wooden stake thru the heart. -
One of my earliest childhood memories is of the old mantle clock on my grandparents mantle piece chiming on the hour and half hour. I thought the chimes and bells were so melodious and beautiful to hear. As I recall, whenever we would visit my grandparents house I would be enthralled by the sounds coming from that old clock. Three things about my grandparents home that I always remember was the.sound of that clock, the smell of peanuts parched in the oven, ( my grandfather loved parched peanuts), and the whistle of the train on the train tracks near by. My grandparents have long since passed away and as family heirlooms were passed down my sister the oldest grandchild ended up with the clock. As I recall, I believe my sister had to find a antique clock maker to repair the clock that was no longer chiming when she received it. For a few years she proudly displayed it on her mantle piece and when I would visit whenever the clock would chime I would have fond memories of my grandparents home the scent of parched peanuts and the faint sound of a train whistle somewhere off in the distance. The last time I visited my sister for Christmas I noticed that the clock was no longer on her mantle piece. On that day she was recuperating from surgery and was in discomfort. I asked her what had happened to the clock and she responded in a somewhat abrupt manner that it was in the attic. I reasoned that her tone was due to her discomfort at the time and blew it off. Due to complications from her surgery my sister passed away a few days later. During the memorial service my brother in law approached me about the clock. As I recall the conversation went something like this. He said," I noticed that you asked about the clock at Christmas and I know that your sister would want you to have it so I dug it out of the attic and have brought it to you. In fact it is in the trunk of my car right now." Being somewhat taken by surprise at the moment, I said, " That is very kind of you but the clock has been a family heirloom don't you think her daughter may want it?" "Nope she don't want it," he said, "I insist you take it."........ So I did. So I proudly took it home and displayed it on my mantle piece. Proudly displayed and ticking perfectly I soon realized that not. Only did it chime on the hour, it also chimed on the half and quarter hour as well.. the closer it got to midnight the more notes and chimes there were in that chime sequence. It was also very, very loud. Not only chiming but ticking as well. At first when I had it displayed the flood of nostalgic memories flooded my senses. Then after a awhile I noticed that I would be awakened every quarter hour throughout the night by the chiming of that damn clock. I then developed reoccurring headaches every time the clock would begin to chime. I couldn't wait for it to wind down and quit working so I could get some sleep. I've since wondered what was wrong with the chimes when my sister found the old ClockSmith to repair them. And as I'm sitting here writing this I can envision my grandfather knocking it off the mantle piece accidentally on purpose. I write all of this to say, he'll no I left my clocks alone if it don't take care of itself I ain't touching it.

Oh yea, Then there's that public scrutiny thing. That's the same reason I'm not running. But, I still think they could use a lot more of what we're selling. -
I can remember one thing I did in the middle of a country road when I was young, on a full moon lit night and in love..... but, maybe I shouldn't talk about it here.

I would like to know more about the competition. Who is he competing against. What is the format and coverage of the competition ? Who is doing the competition? This might be something I could get behind and support.

I think it's time to band together as brothers and sisters in advertisements he'll, follow Casey's lead and shout out in a collective voice to those corporate big wigs that shove this crap down our throat that " WE ARE SICK OF IT AND WE ARE NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE". CASEY, have you ever thought about running for President?
