No snow where I am. The storm has officially moved out of Georgia and is moving up through SC, NC, VIRGINIA, WV. Y'ALL ENJOY.
  2. Down here 1" can shut the city down for a week.
  3. I'm sorry they updated the releasel time till 1:00 I'm on the way out the door.
  4. Prayers up and hang in there, God has a plan and we all have your six. We are still expecting to see you and Tip chasing your front wheel when this whole thing and Flying FOOL 's mischief blows over this spring.
  5. I've been baiting Flying FOOL and challenging him that he did not have the range to hit me down here in the south with that white washing machine he likes to through snow with. I have also been laughing at our snow bound friends up north at their misfortune during blizzard conditions while I enjoyed mild conditions down here. Now it is time that I have to eat my words and brace myself for the payback. Looks like we are going under a winter storm warning today at 4:00 and they are calling for 1 to 4" of snow overnight. The good thing is we are being given an early release from work today at 3:00.
  6. Yes bears can be an issue at Vogel. Just ask me or Yammer Dan. But, I'm in. I ain't afraid of no bears.
  7. oh yea, I haven't missed a shot in 30 years that I can recall. For practice I shoot bumblebees on the wing with a bb gun. No brag just fact.
  8. it was raining and overcast again this morning and was thinking about sitting in the rain but didn't have to. Got off my hunting sofa in the man cave and there he was about 100 yards down by the barn. Grabbed Betty the 44 rem mag and shot from the back door through a 1' window and nailed a heart shot. It didn't leave much of a blood trail in the rain but was able to track it about 30 yards to where it fell just inside the woodline. The neat thing was that I took my one year old untrained dog down there and he picked up the scent about where I first saw the deer standing followed the scent directly to the invisible blood trail then straight to the deer. When he first saw the deer he freaked out because he had never seen a dead deer before. After he realized it was dead he was ok. Looks like he will make a good tracking dog. I may keep him after all. Had son gut the deer, we took the deer to the processor and now I'm back on the sofa in my camo jammies in the man cave. Hunting don't get no better than this.
  9. I typically hit what I aim at and don't typically aim at trees. But, since it was raining and overcast I decided to let the 303 British Enfield with open site go for a walk instead. Didn't get a chance to aim it thou.
  10. Just replaced batteries in the lit reticle scope and checked the bore sight on the 1909 Mauser 98 30_06. Thinking About taking it on a hunting stroll today.
  11. Go south? Aren't you already in the south?
  12. 68° here again today.
  13. I don't often say it out loud but, I too breath a silent sigh of relief when Christmas finally passes. Don't get me wrong I celebrate the reason for the season. But it's the other parts of the Christmas season I find tedious. Christmas music, for the first day it's ok but by Christmas day I've had more then enough The best thing about the day after Christmas is knowing that I'll be safe from Christmas lyrics for another year. Decorating, for years I have advocated the concept of skipping all the work of dragging all that stuff out of the attic putting it up then deconstructing Christmas afterwards. Every year I get overruled. But as I write this, the morning after Christmas all the stuff is already deconstructed and safely stored up in the attic until next year. Rampant commercialism of the Christmas season. In my mind another conspiracy to keep the masses poor and struggling working for the man to make him richer and richer. Much like toll roads on highways that have long since been paid for, paying for the privilege of being bombarded by advertising, Don't get me started. My strategy is spend the money on things we need rather then things we want but don't need. Except for the children, the main joy I get from Christmas is the joy of the children at Christmas. That was cool.
  14. Cool beans:bluesbrother:

  23. You didn't drink the water did you? Ain't you heard of Montazuma's revenge?
  24. Just kidding I don't have the time or the inclination to expose myself to any more drama then is absolutely necessary to deal with.
