How about using this little guy to run your program to sync the v4? http://tinyurl.com/k8e8aak

I'm not riding in the sand on an 800 pound scoot just to get a picture of a sandy dry wash. Nope! I'm waiting for the next target....maybe I'll have better luck!

That's what I get for following directions! Even said on package, compressed air not needed! Geesh!

Has anyone ever ridden a sport touring bike??
videoarizona replied to we2riders's topic in Watering Hole
To me, the 1st Gen VR is the start of the touring bike classification. It and the BMW of the same era were very much touring bikes with an attitude. The 1st Gens have the comfort, storage and handling....with better seat positions! -
3 bars of gas in 41 miles
videoarizona replied to flyday58's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
In my case about a month ago it was bad gas. I put some SeaFoam in and then new gas and ran it out...then a new tank of fresh gas...and all is fine. -
Yep...but much better quality. They are very well made! Superior to the cheap ones on the internet... I was fighting to get them on...using soap and water and a big screwdriver to separate one side so I could pull it up. Never even thought of tearing apart...they are that strong!

The originals I ordered finally came in. Took about 30 minutes to "slip" them on. Yea right. Followed directions...not an easy chore...but they did finally go on. They are confortable and just enough bigger to make it easier on my hands!

That reminds me...where do you all mount a camera on a 1st gen? We go so fast, I worry about where to mount mine....

I have both the GoPro and the JVC: This new guy looks like a relative of the JVC... http://adixxion.jvc.com/ The Go Pro has the advantage of mounting ease. The JVC has a better picture and the built-in weatherproofing and monitor are quite the deal. I'll be curious how the Ricoh/Pentax works....as I've been a Pentax fan since 1970 with the original Spotmatic 35mm. Do let us know if you order one! david

Todd, Hmm..I bought a white string of LED's that I was thinking of sticking under the fairing so it shines down on the front wheel and ground. Added visibility and can help me see the ground while parking. Good thought you have...I can do both at same time! Ok...time to get to work...grins. instead of popcorn and Netflix! david

Yep...no problem down here. Phoenix had highest rainful in one day, ever! Tucson got hit a few hours ago.... I'm under partly cloudy skies right now.... If it was cooler, I'd ride out to the Santa Cruz...bet it's flowing right now! Can be a stream to a huge flooded river....just depends upon rain! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Cruz_River_(Arizona) Thanks for asking!

Ha! I was thinking of you, Jeff! -
> Water evaporates fast...(it's a dry heat) ...unless there is a downpour, then it runs and floods for a few hours....gradually getting absorbed or evaporates. So very few "rivers" actually have water in them year around. We do have a few that run underground for miles....that is strange... I've been researching...there is a river that runs year around about 100 miles away, but don't know if I can get there from here without taking all day. And since we are in our "monsoon" season....I don't want to be caught out in a storm on the bike. So.....probably not a destination right now.

A dry river I guess if thats all ya got it better be impressive !> Uh...nope...beds are small around here. Don't know how I could ride into one to get a picture... Sandstorm? Thankfully I don't live in Phoenix anymore. Got real tired of cleaning the driveway, boat and pool each time!! But thanks for the thought, Jay! Joe...maybe tomorrow. It's too hot around here now. Have to ride in early mornings. I can't take the heat any more. Guess my built-in "air conditioning" isn't working like it used to! david

Darn...I'm surrounded by dry river beds!!! This is the desert! Phooey...
