  1. On the Cee Baily's screen....any advantage to going with the 24" rather than stock 22"? I ride mostly by myself, but if wifemate and I get back together, she does like to ride....and I would like to keep wind at a minimum for her comfort. Advantages/disadvantages? d
  2. Jason, My Shinko tires are still brand new. I chucked the Metz's after less than 3,000 miles due to the rear tire developing an issue. I replaced both tires a few months ago. I'll let you know when the Shinko's die...should be a year or two... (grins)
  3. Sigh.....wish I could have met you last June! If you can plan your next trip in Spring or Fall I can show you Southern Arizona and parts of New Mexico! Enjoying your Adventure! Thank you!
  4. LOL! Robert is kidding, of course! But he just called me and he found the screw in his parts bin and is mailing it off to me ASAP! He asked that I pay it forward by buying a homeless person a burger....that I will do! Thank you Sir Robert of Scharf!
  5. Well...no one, Ace or True Value, carries a 10mm X 15mm. The smallest they have is 20mm. To long, for sure. Dealer is now searching old parts bin plus looking through new parts catalogs for bolt. I would think it would be common on many motorcycles...even today's new ones....but the parts department is not set up to search by dimensions...just part numbers....and no cross reference to a new number for this little bolt.
  6. > I was just going edit the post and ask...! I have the washer..it fell down where I could get to it. Off to Ace...thanks Kevin! d (maybe I'll get two of each...)
  7. Well..it finally happened! My 89 decided to eat a screw...lost somewhere in the bowels of the scoot. I'm in need of a hexagon screw...part # 90153-10015-00 ...the screw that covers the fill hole on the rear master cylinder reservoir. Dealer did try to find around country to no avail... TIA, david
  8. Les, Let me see what the OEM is like.....then I'll ask for pics of your seat and backrest. Never hurts to look around...!!thanks...
  9. Snow! Yikes! - I don't want to take time away from family...but Let me know if you want company on Saturday/Sunday. I'll either drive up or take one of the bikes.... 602.418.5814 Thanks again!
  10. Yes, that's it. How does that attach? Is there a hole that's covered on the seat frame? I don't see any way to attach anything to the side rail, the seat or the frame. Guess I'll wait until KIC's TDY is over and he's had some time with family before zipping up to Tucson to see first hand... Thanks, Kevin...
  11. Thanks, Bill. Will take you up on your kind offer when you get a chance. This will give me an idea if I like the OEM...and how to install. Then I can take a closer look at the other two backrests you guys have offered up. Thanks!
  12. The only problem with the free version of Avast....
  13. Boy...that looks like a perfect place for me to put my foot down in.....(and over I go!) Good catch! Kudos to BK for getting it repaired!
  14. My dash and seats cracked on my Opel Manta Rallye in Denver one winter in 1973. Went from cold to warm and back to cold in 24 hours...cracking the interior nicely. Doesn't surprise me our bikes can have that problem... Sad to hear!
