Try a Triumph. FANTASTIC!!!
-
That looks like exactly what I want and being plug and play for my Venture is a bonus. Let me know when you have a price and we can talk about delivery etc. My email is keysyrider@gmail.com

Because of the small tail light on the Venture I am looking for an LED bar that is large enough to mount on the trunk. Although I don't ride much at night I was also considering LED lights to replace all the existing lights. I use Gerbing heated clothing for those cold days so the reduced amperage will help a lot with LEDs. Does anyone know where I can purchase LED lights that are a reasonable cost. When I see $71 for a signal light I shy away.

That's the place I was considering. Thanks

This is my first Venture and I want to set up the bike for my Gerbing heated clothing. Looking for a place to locate the switch that controls the heat. It was easy on the Wing with all that plastic but a bit more challenging with the Venture. Any ideas??

Brian's "why we ride" thread got me wound up...

When you watch the movie "ON ANY Sunday" and you get to the part about Steve McQueen racing at Saddleback Park, watch for a guy wearing a bright blue racing jersey with a large white CZ on the front. That will be me. I was on the starting line with McQueen that day. I placed ninth. Don't know where McQueen placed but somewhere back there. That was one of the events that was part of the Trans AMA race series. -
Why, as an adult, do you feel that you need to change your exhaust system so you can simply make more noise? Does this enhance performance? I would hazard a guess that, without at least intake modifications etc, the performance will not be improved and may probably be less. Your consideration for those around you is commendable, however, how do you interpret the parameters of this? In all likelihood the parameters of the noise you make is completely up to you and as such may offend many people within the scope of your noise production. The day the law enforcement everywhere enforces their existing laws regarding all motor vehicle exhaust noise on our streets will be a step forward for average Joe Citizen over the whims of a few who enjoy making loud, uncomfortable noise for the majority of the populace. My New Years wish for you is to think about others and their rights to a reasonably quiet environment and not just when you deem it to be so. The rights of a few should be removed when they impinge on the rights of the majority.

Why??? Can't you hear your bike when it's running? If you like to be noisy then take the mufflers completely off, close your garage door, and rev it up until you can't stand it anymore. At least then you won't be pissing everybody off that you come in contact with.

Merry Christmas! And God bless us, every one!

Used the Store Locator but was hoping to find a place closer than Ocala. It appears that Ocala is the closest place but I'll phone first to make sure they carry a decent selection.

Well, that was a waste of time. Went to the Vet store in Lakeland today to buy a pair of SWAT boots. No waterproof models in stock, Not going to be here long enough to order a pair so I'm still looking. Ocala is the closest place now but that's 1 1/2 hours away. Guess I'll try and find pair along the I 95 corridor on my way home next week. Plenty of dealers in and around Washington and Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Hi Larry: Yes, we arrived at 8 pm last evening. Just got out of the hot tub an pool. This is definitely my winter destination once I retire. Going shopping tomorrow for SWAT boots, a tank bag that will hold my camera and maybe a bra--tank bra that is!! First stop is Central Florida Sports. 90 F today. Man I love this weather!

Well, I am finally here in sunny Florida and I'm going to do some shopping. Does anyone know of a store that sells SWAT boots? I am not far from Haines City so somewhere close by would be nice.

10,000 unemployed comedians and we get stuck with you. Sort of reminds me of an old saying: "They'd replace you with a machine--but they haven't invented a machine that does nothing yet! Appreciate the humour though.

Got it. Of course I dropped the first one down inside that maize and can't find it now even with a magnet. I'll tray again later when I regain my patience. Got the rear of the bike suspended from the ceiling joists and removed the back wheel and took out the final drive. Going to get the gearing change done on my way back from Florida after New Years. Didn't realize that I ad to remove both saddlebags and both muffler just to be able to pull the axle out. Oh well, it's still not as bad as a Gold Wing to work on. Thanks for the advice guys.

Where do I access the bolts to take the riders seat off my 2013 Venture S?
-
Starting on Canada Day, July 1, 2013 we rode the St. John River Valley in New Brunswick. Following that we visited PEI and then went by ferry out to Isle de la Madeleine in the middle of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Took four days in August and rode Pennsylvania Route 6 from Milford westward to Route 219. Took a week on October and rode from Nashville south through Birmingham to Natchez. Then took a few days and traveled north following the Natchez Trace Parkway all the way north to Nashville again. 2014 will be a few days following the Susquehanna river from CVooperstonw, Ny to the Chesapeake Bay and a week in Missouri in the Ozark Plateau Region around Branson. More plans to come but that all for now.

Where do you sit in that thing?

I'd go for the SWAT boots but I really don't want to have to deal with laces. I'm trying to make a connection with Motovan so I'll see what they carry this week.

High on my list for Christmas this year is a good pair of waterproof Gore Tex riding boots. I saw a nice pair of Alpinestars but I really hesitate to buy things from an online store that need to fit. Quite often accessories are much cheaper in the USA and I will be in Florida over Christmas and New Years. Do any of our members know of any good places to buy boots in Central Florida.

It is a scam!!! Anything that looks suspicious is probably a scam. Ever heard of 419? Google it and see what comes up. Just finished a book by the same name written very well by Will Ferguson. These jerks have taken in millions of dollars duping unsuspecting gullible people. The mother in law just got an email from Spain telling her that she has inherited 3 million dollars from a relative who had died in a train accident. That's what the DELETE button is for and it always give me great satisfaction top hit it when I get one of these emails. An never, never, never, open an attachment.

Best of luck and Godspeed with your recovery Larry. I'll see you on December 20 when I drop by to purchase every product you make for my new Venture. I have 40 to 45% hearing loss in both ears so I can relate. Mine can't be repaired. Guess I stood too close to too many racing bikes in my youth--but what a sweet sound they made. Standing behind a BMW Rensport and the noise waves pounding on my chest. Memories!!!
