Thanks Wild Bill, The difference was so small, that I just used a file to run it through the bracket hole a few times and that worked. Don't know why it wouldn't work prior. I would like to get a newer midnight venture, and when/if I do, I'll definitely come to you to get the front/rear lowered. Thanks!

Does anyone know if the axle, on a 2000 mm edition venture, is larger for any reason. I am trying to install a Barons lowering kit and the axle does not fit through the Barons bracket. I contact Barons and they affirmed the Kit I have is the correct one. Anyone else ever experience this problem?

Hello Wild Bill, I decided to try and install it today. I connected the new connecting arms then started on the caliper mounting. I removed the brake caliper, swing arm and axle. When I went to attach the new barons bracket, the axle would not go through the hole. I have a 2000 yamaha venture mm edition and was told, by barons, that this is the correct lowering kit for my bike. Have you ever had this problem? I contacted barons but haven't heard back yet. I have tried attaching a few pics, but I couldn't get them to upload on this site. Thanks! Steve R.

Thanks for the info Mike. Never even considered lowering the front. I'll have to look into that. Unfortunately, bought the barins off of eBay and can return them.

Hello, I am planning on installing the Barons Lowering kit (BA-7530-00) on my 2000 Venture. I'm not a mechanic but have worked a lot on my bike (ie. replacing the clutch, tires, etc.), from YouTube videos, etc. The instructions from Barons are terrible. I even called them and they basically said what you see is what you get and couldn't help me. I'm a "visual" person. If I can see pics/video of the install then there's no problem with me doing the installation. Does anyone have any pics or video of this install. I cant find anything on the internet concerning this for a Venture. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
