  1. What a coincidence, we work in a heating plant as well. Co-workers thought I was nuts till the V-Strom rider started there, now he is the crazy guy and I am a sissy.
  2. That is the dino oil. I used it in several bikes with no issues. I have run the T6 synthetic in my Vulcan. tried it twice but switched back to dino before 2k miles both times because I detected a change in clutch feel. Maybe just me but I tried it twice with the same result. The T6 is in the blue jug.
  3. I believe the Vision was rated about 65 HP, but my memory ain't what it used to be, at least that is what my wife says. I don't remember ever having a better memory.....hmmmm.
  4. I had a Yamaha 550 Vision. V-twin water cooled. Cool little bike.
  5. Happy Thanksgiving!
  6. Sweet!
  7. Link to good post on this subject. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=63049 Looks like while I was looking for it Don posted the info. That is why I love this site. Everyone helps everyone.
  8. I have a 2013. They gave me the ipod kit with the bike and I installed it. Everything goes in the left saddlebag. The kit consists of an iSimple module, two cables (one from the existing cable to the module and one from the module to the iPod), some wire holders, alchol pads, two sided tape and a warning label. The iPod fits in a little pouch in the saddlebag and is controlled from the audio controls on the left side of the handlebar.
  9. Real is honesty. Real is truth. Keep it real!
  10. Low 20's here this morning and a co-worker rode his V-Strom 40 miles to work. Tougher than me.
  11. I would pull it. With my garden tractor!
  12. That is great progress Man of Steel. Keep it up.
  13. Awesome! Simply awesome! Thanks for sharing that.
  14. I just do Stabll. I added mine last weekend after my last ride. Last until today that is. I had to refuel today and add Stabil again. I hope I need to do this over and over until spring!
  15. I bought my 2013 RSV two months ago and currently have 2400 miles on it.
  16. That's "ruff"!
  17. My place about 7am this morning. We got about 4.5 inches.
  18. I bought these gloves this fall. I ride an hour each way to work and they worked down into the mid thirties Fahrenheit. Haven't tried the waterproof claim, but for the price I am more than satisfied. http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/ce-schmidtreg%3B-mens-heavy-duty-cotton-canvas-waterproof-extreme-insulated-thinsulate-glove-bark-brown I wish the qauntlets were just a bit wider but they just fit over my heavy Teknic jacket sleeves. I also wear a pair of black Walls brand bibs that I had bought for a previous job i had. Easy on/off and very warm. http://www.walls.com/zero-zone-insulated-bib . Other than the jacket my cold weather gear is not motorcycle specific or stylish, but I stay warm.
  19. Sad news indeed. I am truly blessed and it is sad only realize it at times like this.
  20. I rode today. It snowed here yesterday but it didn't stick to the roads so no salt down yet. Upper 40's today.
  21. I want one! Very cool!
  22. Light dusting of snow here this morning. No salt trucks yet though.
  23. I like that! Very cool.
  24. Glad it wasn't worse. Hope all heal quickly. Thanks for the reminder about turning in groups.
