  1. Nope, no son in NC. Engine was cool when I pulled the cover. Could see the fluid seeping and went to touch the plug and it popped out. Not a great design in my opinion. Should have been a threaded plug.
  2. Cleaned off the inside of the finned cover. Installed some double sided foam tape with a layer of innertube over it. Put it all back together, ran it until good and warm. No leak. I did email my dealer and will see how the response is. Thanks for the help StarFan and MiCarl. What a great site. :cool10:
  3. Thanks StarFan, I was hoping that was all it was. I was thinking of using a couple thicknesses of innertube rubber on the inside of the fin. Maybe I will use double sided tape stuck to the fin cover with innertube on the engine side. Back to the garage..........
  4. Thanks MiCarl, It is under warranty but the nearest dealer I would trust to work on it is about 90 miles away. If I can fix it myself, I want to.
  5. 2013 RSV 8500 miles. Last couple days I have been getting a smell of antifreeze on occasion. Today I parked in the driveway and several hours later had a puddle under the bike. It is coming from a spot behind the fins on the left side on the rear cylinder. When I removed the cover it turned into a gusher. I shoved a rag in the hole and found what had popped out. Question is, why is it there and what do I do to fix it? Should there have been something screwed into it? Pictures show rag stuffed in the hole. The insert that popped out. The raised spot on the inside of the fin cover that sits against the insert. Thanks in advance.
  6. Best of luck with the foot. It sucks, but bikes can be replaced/repaired. I am glad to hear you managed to stay up or it may have been much worse.
  7. I am using one and love it. Had one on my last bike too, great bang for the buck.
  8. Take care and get well soon!
  9. I got it too. I feel just like one of the cool kids!
  10. Wow! Thanks for posting that. Great reminder to pay attention.
  11. I also have agreed value policies through Hagerty. Never had a claim so I can not comment on how good it is or isn't. However, the price is not too bad.
  12. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and Turn the Page by Bob Seger!
  13. Upon further review it is obviously a cleverly designed contraption which actually uses the incredible performance and reliability of the second gen to drive the trailer wheels. This in turn propels the tow vehicle resulting in a highly efficient way to tour and take all her stuff packed in a large vehicle.
  14. I get it completely. My daughter is 24 now and I still love daddy-daughter outings. She took me to the sprint car races Saturday night for my fathers day gift. The gift of time spent together is priceless. Great tradition you have going, keep it up!
  15. Harley Wannabe!
  16. I have had mine for about a week. I like it.
  17. Terrible picture I took in the mirror, but I saw this yesterday. I think possibly the largest trailer I have seen behind a motorcycle. The thing has dual axles. Kinda scares me but I know nothing about towing a trailer with a bike.

I recommend Rte. 6 which runs East-West through some nice country. Have a great trip!
  19. I went to a dealer to look at a Victory and fell in love with the Royal Star Venture. Go figure?
  20. I plan to keep my stock shield. At least for awhile, until I "know" the Bagger Shield is a keeper. Looks like garyw can hook you up with one.
  21. What was the best mod you made?
  22. Baggershield installed on 2013 RSV.
  23. I have a parking garage permit for opening the gates that is credit card sized, just thicker. I put it in a little name-tag holder on a lanyard that slips over my head . I normally have to get it out from under my coat for it to work.
  24. Looks like a good time was had by all. Nice pics.
  25. I had a couple three-wheelers back in the day. My favorite was a 250R but I sold it because I wasn't as young as I once was. Man were they fun. Looks like a cool ride there Puc.
