I dont see any issues with it. Compared to my first trailer I had its about the same height- !2" wheels and the tongue seems ok. I would look at it and like etcswjoe said- take it for a spin. 250 you cant go wrong,
From Carbon-One classified -
(The original Carbon_One lift adapter attaches to the bottom of either a "05" - "09" RSTD or a "99" - present RSV. Using this adapter allows one to use any atv/mc jack to lift your bike safely. Made of solid steel you'll have years of use for as long as you own your bike.
Some Larin and Harbor Freight jacks have short lift arms (12") so if you have one of these I add a safety bar to the adapter. Do make a note in any order if this feature is required. My adapters are 12 1/2" wide so any jack with 13" lift arms or longer can be used easily. )
I just bought one and quality made- would recommend it. Just look in member classified section for info on it.
Was a member years ago and then a free year membership when I bought new Venture last year. It always seemed Star was getting rich for what we got out of it and wasnt worth the money. My chapter was a great bunch of guys and gals but was tired of Star telling us what we HAD to do.
"I don't think the car tire would have allowed me to lean over far enough"
From experience- you can scrape the boards just as easy on a Car tire as a MC tire. Been thru the "Dragon" a couple of times with a "CAR" tire and no issues and lots of sparks- if ya know what I mean.
Its all about the education about the subject.
speakerfritz- I have one for sale all ready to go down the road. $250..

I see you are in the NYC area. I am 6 hours west of there so I would even consider a little ride to meet you someplace in between if interested.
I have hauled it to California and back with no issues at all.
I have a 2013 with only 3000 miles and mine just started doing that on my last trip. I am going to do what you suggested and move the wire. Thanks for the info.
