So I had a cooler ride from larkspur to monument and back. Still warm but much better. Thanks to you guys for the tips.

Nice to know it isn't peculiar to my bike. I am going to tape the side vents shut and jam the knee vents open and go for a ride. Then I will come up with a more permanent fix. Thanks.

Just got a 92 VR. All fluids changed, rear brake rotor and pads changed. Ready for a ride. Man does that engine kick off alot of heat. Hot here in Denver and the heat on my legs is almost unbearable with vents open or closed. Temp gauge well in the green. Any sugestions?

Actually, I think I came across the one you are looking at during my search. I remember all of the pin-striping.

I just found a 1992 VR in pristine condition except rear rotor which needs replacing. 12,xxx miles and paid $3800. Did a lot of searching for a '86 to '93 venture and this seemed to be about the right price for one in such good shape. One of the bikes had 94,xxx miles and looked pretty good. Don't know what the expected longevity is however so I went as low in miles as I could find.

Going to be going thru the Black Hills early next week. Any suggestions for a nice tent campground with showers? Would like to stay in the center of things. Thanks, Bantam

I misunderstood. I will just replace with oem style for now and then put better pads on down the road when I do the ss brake lines. Thanks for the advise.

Hi all, I am new to the forum and need some guidance. I just purchased a '92 Venture Royale and I need to replace rear rotor and pads. Can I upgrade just the rear to a new rotor and the EBC HH pads or should all pads front and rear be moved to EBC HH simultaneously? Thanks, Bantam
