  1. Perhaps the CT disclaimer should be added to the new member welcome or home page. PS. I think discussions on the matter have been very informative and interesting
  2. I've seen this before and think it's a great idea, wished I had one a few times but I no longer have the kids helmet (guess I've grown out of it). As for the bungee cords... it's either that or velcro on their butts!
  3. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I recently had to replace my tires and if not for the quick and efficient service of Southwest Moto Tires (http://www.swmototires.com/) I’d have had to miss a long anticipated ride. I went with the Dunlop 404 WWW and am so far very pleased with the ride and must say that www’s look great with Black Cherry. When I placed the order I had trouble entering the credit card information for my order however I sent them an email, they replied within 45 minutes, my order was processed the same day and I received the tires a few days later. I picked them up and had them installed in the States and was able to make my ride the next day. Over all, I purchased and installed the tires for half the price it would cost me to do it here. In fact the two tires cost me $207 US where Canadian dealers are asking $229. just for the rear tire. The best part is that while the tires were being mounted I had lunch with one of our members and got a great ride out of the deal!
  4. If you look at the antenna for the Zomo 550 it looks like a puck. The actual antenna is inside and is shrouded in plastic. The plastic has little to no bearing on the signal. I’ve mounted my antenna on the handle bars because I wanted the option to be able to remove it. If not for that I’d have no reservations about mounting it under the faring.
  5. Don’t forget to clean or replace the air filter, if it’s clogging your MPG will drop.
  6. Wonder how that would work with a skunk!
  7. Because they can't wear a ‘stuffed animal’!!!:rotf::rotf:
  8. If you go by the onboard odometer on the second generation it’s out by 8 percent. According to my GPS I average approximate 7 l/100 km or 40mpg.
  9. Public relations! It does wonders for that ‘bad biker syndrome’ PS. Dare you to reach for my keys!!!
  10. ... damage at $400 bucks! Guess he hasn't priced parts lately, you're lucky to have the tape... good luck with things!
  11. You will want to have some weight on the tongue but keep it manageable. Make sure the tie downs are properly fixed to a solid part of the frame and not just into the plywood. Don’t forget check trailer wheel bearings for grease and the tires for pressure. Nice looking trailer!

  13. Oh man that sucks... glad to hear you're all right and have a sense of humor but that sucks. My heart goes out for ya, good luck finding a mirror!
  14. Ya that’s a tank bag. Before putting it on the bike I had it strapped on the seat in my truck. If I had to break hard it kept her safe from going on the floor. She loves going for rides so when I moved the tank bag to the bike she knew it was her space. I broke her in with a few short rides but she caught on right away and totally loves it. Now that she accustomed to riding I’ll install a tether line inside the bag just to be safe. The problem is more ‘how to get her out’... when it’s time to come out and I ask her to come she lies down, turns her head and ignores me!!! If she gives me too hard a time I tell her ‘I’ll put her in a bun’ that seems to get her going!! She too only weighs 4lbs. ( barely a meal).
  15. "Pride of ownership" ... the worse it looks when you start the better it looks when you're finished! I'm sure you'll have it looking great in no-time!
  16. I guess you could say ‘I’ve got both end’s covered’!
  17. This compact model comes with all the same features and functions as much larger units. Some of the features include motion sensor, proximity alarm and vibration alert. It is self arming and requires little maintenance. Don’t let it’s size fool you … this is a very effective unit!
  18. I was having serious neck troubles and headaches after about and hour of riding and thought it was my new ¾ helmet. As it turns out it wasn’t the helmet at all but rather my riding glasses! The arms apply a slight constant pressure just behind my ears and the ¾ helmet compounds the problem. The pressure was so slight that I didn’t notice it, took me a while to figure it out. I changed my glasses and have had no problem since. I’m not doubting you just wondering are you sure it’s the handle bars?
  19. No regrets... I have a refurbished antenna and it works just fine
  20. I heard that if you wrap your helmet with tinfoil (shiny side out) and run one wire from foil and the other to the ground that that would get you a lot of reception... or was that attention??? The use of aluminum helmets has also been a common guerrilla tactic against the government's invasive tactics and aids in the prevention of alien abduction. I prefer the aluminum duct tape for helmets. If you don’t like that idea you could look for a refurbished GXM30 antenna. There’s not many around but I managed to find one in Canada for $175. US prices are still much better then here, check out this link for a new one. http://buyeretail.com/product.asp?i=GARGXM30
  21. I like it... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOEfZ7iUieg]YouTube - The Helmet Harbor talks about the Scorpion EXO-100[/ame] I wonder how hard it is to change the visor and if it’s available with a clear lens.
  22. They go on the head???
  23. Oops!... just read your message. Email sent.
  24. I was picking up some Sea Foam from NAPA today and asked about the H-4 bulb and was told that I could also use the 9003 bulb. He showed me a 9003 bulb and H-4 was stamped right on the bulb base.
  25. I'm good for one set, two if the price is right!
