i tried to post earlier, but the internet wasn't going for it. page just froze, on the screen. we are fine. didn't lose 1 limb, in the whole town. didn't get even one drop of rain. pretty much just a "hurricane drill". now i have to un-board my winders! lol just jt

Jeff, down here, 150 or so miles south of Galveston, we are fine sun is still shining, not a drop of rain, light Northeast breeze blowing. highest gust i've seen all day, was about 24 m.p.h. i too pray for all those, in Ike's immediate path. just jt

great to know, that she'll be alright. i went in last week to pick up my paycheck, at about 10:00 am. had no intention of working one of the wise a$$es said something about me coming in late, or whenever i wanted to. my only answer was "before you go shooting off your mouth, walk a mile in my shoes! i am thankful that you walked that mile and the results were positive! i am also glad, that i don't live in your jurisdiction. i feel sorry for the folks that got pulled over ,by you in the past month!!!! lol:big-grin-emoticon: just jt

Hey lewis. i road out Carla, in '61. biggest baddest hurricane to ever hit the us. a cat. 5, will make even MACHO men quake in their boots! of course i was an 11 year old kid, and we didn't have ""Dr. Steve Lyons", to tell us to evacuate!
