1. Will have to say drivers backrest also
2. Is your venture a royal star with the touring package removed? Very cool picture .
3. X2 , just got done removing mine this spring . Splines were dry and needed grease. My biggest fight was getting the front spline shaft into transmission yoke.

That's what I questioned also after reading some of the negative reviews
5. If I know I am going to run over 60 I roll my flag up and secure with a couple of bread ties. I only use the cb antenna and secure it to the top and bottom of the transformer thingy. Never does it touch the trunk.
6. This was my 1972 super Cheyenne 4x4, I built it from the ground up in 1997. One of the prettiest trucks GM ever made It came with all the options for the year including - power steering, a/c , tack, and a tilt wheel. It rode like a lumber wagon, and got 12 mpg. on a good day, but man was it a pretty truck truck
7. Nice bike. Last year I bought a 2007 midnight Venture for $5700 ,less miles , same bike as yours. I felt like I stole it. Your Venture is 11 years old & not being made anymore, IMO it is priced right .

Don, let me tell you, when I first opened this up, I didn't know how profound the messeage would hit me. Thank you for sharing it, this has made my day, God bless you . Ron Melby in Missouri

My Mom

Last summer a member here posted a picture of his mother and him on a ride. I thought it was very cool, so just last fall I asked my mom who is 86 years old (looks young for her age) if she would care to go on a short ride with me. It took some doing to get her on the back seat, but after that, it was a great 1/2 hour ride through the country. She had never been on a motorcycle before this, and she was smiles the whole time. So glad my wife wanted to take the picture of us, a month later after this picture, mom got the cancer(still alive). I am great full for member who posted this originally to give me the idea for the ride and picture I will probably never forget.
14. Welcome to the form. You can use a debit or credit card instead of pay pal if you wanted to. just click on "User CP", then down on left side and click on "Paid Subscriptions". click on the pay by papal and when you get to last screen instead of using the pay pal , you can enter your debit card #.
15. I just purchased the bagger shield in the tall 16" to 10 1/2" size . they were on sale and received a additional 10% off for being a member here, this saving paid for my membership to Venture Rider and then some on this one single purchase. It makes the bike look cool with the short tinted windshield, also they seem to be very good people to deal with. I haven't rode much since installing it to give a accurate evaluation, but I think it will be fine.
16. try this site from e-bay. I have bought quite a bit from them, just keep looking there and a headlight assymbley what you want will show up. I have done the same thing as you on the driving lights, the led's make the headlight look dim. I not sure if there is a led headlight out there that can cast the beam as far as a sealed beam or hdi. bulb can . National Powersports Parts Store
