This report contains a much needed straight talk about COVID 19. Dr. Bruce Aylward just back from the path of the virus talks plainly about what WHO has learned thru recent experience. The Questions asked are also straightforward bringing added value to this report in my opinion. I don't think we need another thread on CVID 19 I just didn't want to take momentum from those on going threads!

Ooooh good one Uncle! Like in Vanity Fair first then the Post's Woodward, Bernstein & Bradlee and of course Mark Felt in 1972? Now that was a conspiracy proven true, and well, all consuming then and now. OK then if not DNA, and obviously based on factual overlooked clues then by all means I'm up for it.. I just need to dust of my tin foil hat then I be back, all ears, pencil, paper and decoder ring;) Lets agree tho not to use the term Hoax tho, K..
-
I wonder if you are thinking DNA logging?
-
At least this time Carl you can't delete HIS nurse like you done mine!!!!!! you know in case Dad is missing our spats;;
-
Both side have and likely will continue to try their best to score points, well so, that's politics. What will decide is the people. Personally Uncle I have little respect for conspiracies brought forward with out logic or facts, its a waste of grey matter;)
-
I also liked what she did with this old favorite. Electric violinist Jo A Ram
-
I too hope you take it seriously or I Promise to ACT UP! Hugs Dad and for Eileen kisses but, being French I need to deliver those personally;)

Well OK Uncle I'll take the debate, but remember I don't have much schooling, take my opinion as just that. 1st the testing: only if you have symptoms should one want to get tested. Why bother? Well because this virus is very contagious, we might infect others who may have a medical weakness that could make catching Covid 19 a death sentence. For example me. Lets assume for a moment your niece comes for a visit, and perhaps her father-in-law has a case of influenza, he may also have a chronic heart condition that his family is overly concerned with yet he prefers to brush it off. If you have symptoms of Covid 19 but choose not to get tested, she comes over and mentions "uncle you're not looking your handsome self today" and you reply its nothing more than a touch of the flu, then, she speaks of Rick's dad having it as well, also how worried they are about his condition....! Then after tea she hugs you and offers up a sweet kiss on your cheek, guess what after her's or Rick's next visit to his dad...? A couple days later and he's in the hospital with influenza COVID 19, and so much fluid in his lungs they can't hear his heart rate.. And guess what this pneumonia is antibiotic resistant, true. hmm believe it or not I have been there, antibiotics worked but took a long time. Now if this were the case would Uncle have been negligent? Death rates of influenza: apples and oranges, I hear hospitals can function well @ 85% some say up to 110%? But unlike influenza we have no immunity built up in our systems yet, and unfortunately age and existing health conditions have lead to higher death rates with COVID 19 most of which are related to underlying conditions; you might not have them, other do tho! And that too will very across the world so the question is, how well we here on this contentment will fair compared to the EU. and Asia? Next I read about a practice that has been discontinued since 1950, using blood from a person that has recovered from the virus. Apparently it has shown to work by introducing antibodies...hmm! As said we cannot compare influenza to COVID 19, the benchmarks are completely different, period. This is not a time for us to react as stubborn individuals. I personally believe we need not complain about our aches but and rather - be responsible level headed citizens for the next while if only to buy time for science to catch up! One thing as a dad I always told my boys; want to be a real tough guy fulfill your duties and responsibilities;) Well that's how I see it!

Well Uncle if you're still perplexed about the TP I'll share this rumor I heard today: Story is that every time a person sneezes - 10 people **** themselves

Thanks Mama..

Are you thinking about the vent port under the reservoir cap? That will give you an inactive squeeze. -
I got to link across 3 of his videos, his points on how many actual cases are suspected is what was mentioned else where, for every 1 case there is likely 3 but of course in densities like nursing homes that average does not apply. Also the concern is as he made clear the strain posed on Health Care systems. Next is the testing kits, this will remain a stain in recorded history report card "what took us so long to acknowledge and react to.." I heard a famous doctor out of N.Y. who also has been working on H.I.V. was the first to figure out it transmission has a chemical library that might hold the answer to treatment; a doctor Whoo or Woo? Last night The Rachel Maddow Show, last segment... Good post Bob;)

Well RandyR, I saw your two now I'ma raising you one;) Just discovered this young artist, her goal is to interpret well known older songs thru her violin. I must say that she has quite the collection, I am astonished by her diversity and control... If you know the song then words the words are clear, if you don't then they can be found lower right area.

OH brother talk about bring down the House (s) lol

You mean somethin like : "invasion taking place around the world and the futile efforts of the U.S. military to stop it." October 30, 1938? Or perhaps Stalone still trying to find an explanation on the 3 sea shells started in 1993? Or perhaps a Communist trying to teach a Capitalist that 2 ply is a waist of 1 ply? Ya for most it will be a minor event but for some, like those waiting for a heart, liver, lung, cancer surgery, well they'll have to wait or maybe we could try to recreate a Mash type clinic with shop compressors and booster cables maybe a couple of relays to replace fancy life support units..... We'll see soon enough

"Scientists gave the strain an interim name of 2019-nCoV, accounting for the year of discovery, its status as a “novel” virus, and its family name (CoV)."

You must also insure that all the copper washers are in place and not scared. -
The answers are now out there. As mature men we must not gloss over the facts, we may not like them, agree with them and they may evolve/change as the world gears up to fight back but, ignoring them further will only increase anxiety. I have found that much of what we face these days has in fact been already written as a guide thru history. Woodrow Wilson for example 1918 with the Spanish flue; now the Chinese government just in 2019 “crush the messenger”. The problems now are that we have too little experience with this strain and this is only round one. We have no natural immune defense, we will not all have the same severity in symptoms, a vaccine is not just around the next corner; we cannot hide from it, it does not discriminate amongst us. It is time to be one people and, pull together. It is time for leadership to shine or step aside and appoint leaders of science that care not about political striping, period. Canadians go hand in hand with our American cousins. Our wellbeing is a reflection of yours tho, our population is only 10% of you all. Our founding people come from the same parts of the world so, I personally am and will remain confident that we will support one another and pull thru, history says so. A funny: I learned of our first family infection thru the 11 th Hour last night; which is really a shame because, Canada was once the best at delivering and educating thru our nightly news! Finally, I for one, received the news that I had been searching for yesterday, via the Peoples House! So, the CDC when pressed by an amazing Congress Lady demanded that the CDC follow the law and cover all Americans for testing without exception. That is what was driving me nuts about the lack of response and leadership. Here in Canada it is a given, it is not free because we pay thru our taxes for Health Care, but it is universal. The lack of testing will be overcome because we need to know the true size of the problem. I’d like to stress one more thing, and please let’s not tip Dad’s teacup over it: Facts are found throughout the spectrum of communications, limiting our feeds will only keep us apart. The divide we tend to see is not logical, tho it is passionate, some may view it as a wall, how then can a wall extend a helping or thought based respect for a difference in opinion (s).. My opinion on the subject

True enough Carl, between a rock and a hard place;) just how Ottawa likes us to exist
-
Maybe or not at all Carl? Hmm have to think on it? But for your information Ms. Cindy says she enjoys when I read her your emails and, that I need to be more considerate of your age! So no promises but I will try;) Regarding bike color: I was mistaken in my first post, his was a gen 2 not the gen 1! I would take a look at House of Colors for ideas, also I have used their the products and must say very happy paying the extra dollars for them. They also have the best binder I have ever used, important for a solid paint job over plastics. Unfortunately my shop was broken into some years back and my shop laptop was taken which held most of that work as well as my formulas and notes of many years, meaning I don't have much of that work to show! The first time I saw a gen 1.5 was in Toronto, it was silver, the rider was in a suit and tie I thought the bike look very classy, decided then and there I would have to get me one, one day;)

No Carle it has to do with the PEACE found thru Mountain Time. Conservatives like the fact that we have 2 extra hours of PEACE at the end of each day! Let me explain, that adds up to 14 hours a week, of: the EAST being asleep while WE here get to undo the days confusion and WTF moments U’s down the hill keep mucking up! PS. When are yo’ll goin to separate Ottawa from the Dominion;) so we can all get along again?
-
Carl, hmm, so remember I mentioned Ms. Cindy??? The friend I speak with… Well as it happened I was opening the morning mail and I said OH, I see some from Carl… Read me those please she said, well I’ll try but, do not ask me to explain what he’s saying again, I cautioned! Now Carl I must say that you out did yourself on this post! Reminds me of when I was a boy and a gangster said to me, “you know it takes a very smart person to say so much while saying actually nothing at all”!? Nice of them to see to my education!? Going with this new to me assumption, that you are in fact a smart fellow It has suddenly dawned on me that your GOING GREEN comment is in fact a political slight aimed at Alberta, that’s right, I am on to your ways Carl!
