I have already rebuilt front and rear brake, regreased bearings and gears, spline shaft etc. Replaced clutch spring with barons spring plate. Put new commander 2 on rear. If I think of anything else I might do that too. It's going to be a long winter. Oh I have a few things to do to my Raider also.

When did this all change? It kicked me out and I couldn't remember my password. Oh well I worked around it.it will take some getting used to.

Thanks for the replies. The facet I bought has the shut off and check valve and cost only $65 bucks. I guess when it comes I'll figure out what I have to rig up. But I'm sure it will work fine. Anyway thanks again.

I went out to take a ride on my 06 venture today and it had a hard time starting, then just quit. Tried it again then it wouldn't run at all. Then it occurred to me that there was no fuel pump noise that I was accustomed to. Just like that one day it ran great the next day nothing. So I took it out and the contacts are fried. I decided that instead of rebuilding an 8 year old pump to just get a new one. I ordered the facet should be here in a couple of days. Does anyone have any experience in putting these in? I'm sure I can figure out out, but would be nice if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks if you do.

Not sure why your mileage has gone down so drastic,I live in Idaho at 5k ft and I get around 40 mpg of course I am not pulling a tralior. The wife and I went to the dalles and averaged 42 the whole way.

Why would you want to? Looks so much better without or with what I put on. But then again I never did like many of the big gaudy badges that the manufactures put on.

Bought mine from las Vegas last year, but it now resides in Idaho, It didn't care for the heat.

It's your rear shock for sure, mine does the same thing. Once it starts the only thing to do is get a new one,because eventually all the oil will drain out and your bike will start to bottom out. There are some good alternatives to stock like Hagon shocks.

Sorry my dictionary picked this word, and i didn't catch it, I would never put in something like that, if you was following my train of thought you would know I meant torque not tongue. I'm sure you've never made a spelling error. As far as cowpucs questions, yes I have rode all day for several days on the raider, very comfortable for a none tourer. The belt drive is very smooth and have over 35k on the bike and belt. I would still ride this bike over any, but the wife was not comfortable on the back. I get around 42 mpg on long rides and about 39 around town, pretty good for a 1900cc.

The strat is air cooled, it is the same engine as my raider,which by the way is one of best bikes and engines I have ever had. That being said, after having the venture I would never go back to a air cooled tourer. The 113 ci engine is a torgue monster but gets very warm between the legs on a long hot ride. It also is fairly smooth but nothing like the the 1300 v4 in the venture.

The paint just looks very sun faded to me, I'll bet everything on this bike is weather and cracked, just my opinion.

Theres a reason why they were almost eradicated from Idaho, and the reintroduction of a species that is not indigenous to Idaho was just some liberals way of forcing his beliefs on to those who didn't want them here.
