  1. Was out for what should the last ride of the season. Was a great day. Logged 200 miles around mighty Saint-John river and Grand Lake. Few bugs and no idiot moves from cagers. Great way to end season. Will be winterizing tomorrow and testing snow blower.
  2. Ya.....today is probably going to be last ride for season.....
  3. Yes need different flasher or a load equalizer. For the rear remember that LEDs are pole specific, so you may have inversed the hot and ground wires if it does not work at all. Hope this helps.
  4. BRAVE MAN:rotf:
  5. On accessing the site i now get a pop up indicating that there is a problem with the certificate and asking if i want to continue????
  6. Had a great 2 hour ride around the Mactaquac headpond today. Great end to a beautiful thanksgiving weekend. Hope all had a similar weekend.
  7. Excited about all of the above, but not the Victory Vision look, should keep the cruiser look.
  8. Did group ride last weekend as a fundraiser for UW and was asked to explain some basic guidelines as I was one of the most experienced. Explained the basics such as not running stops, no side by side, riding to ability, etc. I took the back of the group and was horrified with two rookies who insisted on going side by side. Talked to them at scheduled stop and they litteraly told me to FOff. They were given an alternative, follow the rules or drop out of the ride. They elected to drop out,. Too bad, but was in the best interest of the group. Nerver ride side by side.
  9. Thanks.
  10. Also who is the supplier.
  11. I would stay away from anything that ships from China. Looked at their website and did not get a good feeling about them. Even their translation into english is off.
  12. Thanks for the advice Freebird, will take a look tonight to make sure.
  13. Well they finally arrived yesterday, was a two week process, one week for them to ship out and another week for shipping. No hangups at customs or any brokerage fees so that was good. They came shipped in bubble wrap mailing envelope and then each one was individually wrapped. The quality seems to be excellent. They have completelly replicated the pattern as well as the curve of the originals. Only gripe would be that the screw holes are a bit off, but it is hardly noticable. Would certainly recommend them. Cost was $60 for 2 sets and $31 for shipping. Install tooks about 20 min and as I did not have locktight I used GOOP instead so nut would not come loose. Nice to be able to remove the scratched ones.

  15. Wow....not sure what started the whole thing but these bikers are a bunch of morrons as far as i am concerned. Hope nobody was hurt when the SUV climbed overa bunch of bikes at the start and hope the occupants of the vehicle are ok too. Idiot moves all around.
  16. Hard to see them go.........Not trying to hijack your thread, but noticed that you had different - black antennas on that RSV, can you share what those where and if the performance was as good or better than the OE ones. Thanks
  17. Had a terrific ride today in Central New Brunswick. Weather was summer like and the fall colours are starting. All the bikes must have been out as every second vehicle was a bike. Even saw a 1st gen - burgundy (second one I see this summer), a 2nd gen -grey (3rd one I see this summer) and 4 trikes, all Honda's one of which had a crazy paint job. The rest where all mostly HD's. The only downside was the idiot cager in the BMW ragtop who insisted on passing me and slowing down and then throwing cigarette buts at me...not sure what his problem was, but I managed to escape him and continue to enjoy a great day. (May have flipped him the bird on the way by...) Looking forward to a few more good day's before it turns really cold.
  18. Ok once again thanks for the quick responses and good advice.
  19. Was comparing speedometer with gps today and the bike is alway's about 10 km/hr slower than what the gps reads. Thats about a 4 mph difference in...mph. Is this a frequent thing with the second gen? Thanks
  20. Yes agree....
  21. Thanks for the replies and suggestions. Got me thinking.....
  22. Looking for way to level bike for doing maintenance on bike. Have been using 2x4 under kickstand to raise a bit but it is not very stable. Not interested in adding a centerstand. Any suggestions out there? Thanks
  23. Have also gone from a 1st to a 2nd gen and prefer the latter much more. Also have 2006 Black Cherry and it does stand out. Its just that darn cassette deck that keeps me guessing.
  24. Great post. Thanks for the info. Probably 1 month away from storing for the winter and you covered all of my questions.
  25. RedRider I think I will hang on to them. Will try to get the scratches polished out and would keep them as spares. Sorry...
