  1. Hard to see them go.........Not trying to hijack your thread, but noticed that you had different - black antennas on that RSV, can you share what those where and if the performance was as good or better than the OE ones. Thanks
  2. Had a terrific ride today in Central New Brunswick. Weather was summer like and the fall colours are starting. All the bikes must have been out as every second vehicle was a bike. Even saw a 1st gen - burgundy (second one I see this summer), a 2nd gen -grey (3rd one I see this summer) and 4 trikes, all Honda's one of which had a crazy paint job. The rest where all mostly HD's. The only downside was the idiot cager in the BMW ragtop who insisted on passing me and slowing down and then throwing cigarette buts at me...not sure what his problem was, but I managed to escape him and continue to enjoy a great day. (May have flipped him the bird on the way by...) Looking forward to a few more good day's before it turns really cold.
  3. Ok once again thanks for the quick responses and good advice.
  4. Was comparing speedometer with gps today and the bike is alway's about 10 km/hr slower than what the gps reads. Thats about a 4 mph difference in...mph. Is this a frequent thing with the second gen? Thanks
  5. Yes agree....
  6. Thanks for the replies and suggestions. Got me thinking.....
  7. Looking for way to level bike for doing maintenance on bike. Have been using 2x4 under kickstand to raise a bit but it is not very stable. Not interested in adding a centerstand. Any suggestions out there? Thanks
  8. Have also gone from a 1st to a 2nd gen and prefer the latter much more. Also have 2006 Black Cherry and it does stand out. Its just that darn cassette deck that keeps me guessing.
  9. Great post. Thanks for the info. Probably 1 month away from storing for the winter and you covered all of my questions.
  10. RedRider I think I will hang on to them. Will try to get the scratches polished out and would keep them as spares. Sorry...
  11. Well, it was a slow start from the supplier. They only shipped them out yesterday-one week since order placed. I suspect they make them only when ordered or they have a realy slow process to send stuff out. Should be here in a week if they dont get delayed at customs. Will let you know....
  12. Agree with that too.
  13. Hi Roger, What I am replacing are the small plexi defectors that are on the front forks and directly below the driving lamps. The bike comes with these as original equipment. The PO scratched the defectors to hell, so I am replacing with new ones. Will use existing hardware.
  14. Here you go......
  15. Will post update once I receive them. May have a spare set if M61A1MECH is correct.
  16. AGREE but that is international shipping rates. Should not be any import duties though....
  17. I ordered the smoke ones, so $10 extra each for a total of $60.00 for two. Shipping is about $40, so in the end a $100 proposition. The penalty we pay for being out in the east. On the curved issue, not sure why you are saying that as the originals on my scoot are flat, not curved. These are the deflectors that attach to the front forks, not the lower deflectors that attach to the crash bar if those are the ones you are referring to. Thanks
  18. Ok, well not getting any answer, took a risk and ordered a set this morning.....we will find out how they are on our own......
  19. WOW, longest I have been able to go is 4hrs in the saddle. Congratulations!!
  20. Has anyone bought these replacement units from 7JuRock? If so are they good quality? They have at $20each right now. http://www.7jurock.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=290
  21. Hey was not meaning to be offensive. If so, i do apologize. I was just trying to offer clarification.
  22. While I agree that these will help on cold day and keep rain off your feet, these will not help in windy situations as they actually increase the size off the air bubble you need to punch through. They are designed to simply provide ventilation\protection to your lower legs. Just saying......
  23. Interesting......was for a 4 hour ride today and wind was average 30 gusting to 60. Only noticed being pushed sideway's once on a long left hander. Used to have a 1st gen and that thing was like a sail. You could feel the front end lift above 65. Find the 2nd gen much better planted.
  24. Just looked at their website and they no longer list them. They list the bracket but not the deflector. Anyone know where else I could find them? I am looking for either tinted or billet or chrome.
  25. They came in today and I installed them tonight. Used plumbing GOOP instead of locktight on screws. They where a bit hard to line up due to tight space between the crashbars and the plastic cowling but it came together.
