  1. Thanks for the link.. These are damaged like all of the others I am finding at a reasonable price. The good ones I found that are un-damaged go for around $550 to $750. Might as well buy new ones at that price. The search goes on...................
  2. Thanks.....I think I can fabricate my own brackets but saw a link in one of the threads where they can be found. Also saw somewhere that the heat shield on the stock slip on can be reused to hide the connecting point by riveting it onto the new pipe, may do that if it works. Those V&H's are expensive though:mad:
  3. I am looking at installing a set of V&H Monster Ovals on a 2006 RSV. Are any adjustments required to tune carbs once these are on? Thanks ahead of time for your help!
  4. Cool, I am homesick now....... 1965!!!!!! Did we have paved roads then????? That must have been an adventure........and I am not refering to the GF:whistling: Also, so as to not be accused of highjacking thread, Old Quebec City is worth a visit and is actually easier to visit on foot.
  5. I was born in Edmundston and still proudly identify with the Brayon culture. Hope you got to enjoy some of it while there. Being in Fredericton now we get to enjoy the St.John River Valey on a daily basis and truly recommend it. Looking forward to reading your acounts...
  6. Glad we can share..........
  7. Snow in Texas......who knew...... Very cool....here I thought we only had to deal with snow here.......flurries here today:canada:

    You are a better man than me, I would be going after them for damages....get so anoyed everytime I have to avoid a chasing dog that should be tied up. I have a dog by the way and always keep it under control and expect others to do so, its a responsibility issue.
  10. Which PIAA....do you have a part number?
  11. :rotf::rotf:
  12. Ok thanks... that front wheel looks great....
  13. Agree with you up to a certain point, only problem with that is that we all end up paying more for medical expenses and insurance.
  14. Is it?
  15. Most I can get out UltraStar lights is about 6 month. will never use them again, especially in the RSV as they are a pain to replace.

    That sucks..... Glad you are not hurt....
  17. Would be nice to be able to take a look at it....
  18. NOPE.......that is actually scary looking......whatever it is.......
  19. :rotf::rotf:wonder if the outcome could be a 3rd gen:confused24:
  20. And did you change your underwear....
  21. And its not just the deer that you have to look out for, when I had the 1st gen, I had a partrige go through the front wheel. No damage, but lots of blood, feathers and I needed new underwear .
  22. Ok, thanks for that Freebird. Will drop that plan as I am not good with electronics and know nothing about CB's. Too bad, I really liked how those looked on your bike.....that Yammer Dan is now enjoying....
  23. Is that a common problem? Mine had passing lamps installed, yamaha accessories, would there be a relay included when those are installed? If yes where would it normally be?
  24. Whheeeeewwwww.....I was wondering if anyone else had noticed that. Good job with it.
  25. Thanks for the link, I had read through it but still have a few questions. I sent an email to FireStik and will see what they say. Here are the remaining questions in case anyone wants to take a stab at it: I am looking at replacing my stock antennas on my 2006 Yamaha Royal Star Venture with Firestik – FireFly. I would have the following questions: 1. Can I simply change out the antenna and reuse the existing folding base and cable already on the bike? If not what are my options. 2. This bike has 2 antennas, CB on the left and an AM/FM on the right. It there a FireStik product that would match the FireFly that I can use for the AM/FM side?
