  1. Wow great job on those. Now I get the projector light part. Great thinking and engineering skills.
  2. What did you use for your passing lights? Are those the new Truck-Lite (single led) units.? If yes, any issues fitting them in the stock buckets? Thanks:confused24:
  3. Have not installed them yet as it is still too cold where I store the bike. Got them here on ebay as they had the best price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/121183155603?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1827wt_952
  4. Lower power draw and no mechanicals for hi\low beam on the headlamp. Plus its newer teck.
  5. Wonder if that would fit in the space left from removing the cassette deck on a RSV?
  6. Thought about it but they are way too expensive. Decided to go with the Truck-lite 4.5 led lamps that match their new Phase 7 headlamps. For the headlamp, I got a new Afterburner led h4 bulb unit. See link below: http://canadiancruisercustomizing.com/products/afterburner-led-headlight-direct-replacment-lamps Have not installed them yet but it seemed like agood compromise on price and light output for me.
  7. Nope No cassette deck:no-no-no: It does look like the center stand off the 1st gen though:confused24:
  8. I am just amazed at the ribbing that you guy's are giving Dan over the petcock issue................fun to follow though................he has real thick skin and obviously a great sence on humour:clap2:
  9. Well I can at least have the satisfaction of having helped someone out on this board after selflesly taking and using all of the advice given...... ...over the past months....boy was this the best $12 I ever spent:thumbsup2:
  10. NOOOOOOOOO.......please keep him........and do you have space for Rob Ford?????? .
  11. YEP!! Bert wins the right to be the first one to call me a dumbass this time!! The rest of you will just have to wait til next time.... SORRY SIR...was not my intent. I was stumped a few times last summer when I left it off on mine..... ....but is there an award for being first?
  12. If no clicking sound, pump may be gone. I always try without choke first and then half choke and it usually starts. Ok, now for the embarassing question....is the petcock on the on position?
  13. Welcome to the club, you will not regret it.
  14. Actually no worry Puc, you raise a good question and keep the discussion going so no hijacking going on here:322:
  15. Powered my GPS direct at battery. Load is low so no relay required. Attached holder on bars next to radio pod. Wires run from GPS to bar, then under left neck cover and gas tank , through fuse to the battery.
  16. Since thread was ressucitated here is an update on the Balistic Jacket. I ended up getting the pants as well and both have a generous fit. Good for me as I am big guy. Had to add a few velcro tabs at the bottom of the pant legs so I could have the cuffs tighter and not flap in the wind or drag on the ground when walking. The balistic model is way too hot for summer use even with all liners removed and vents open. Worked great in fall though and only put liners back in October and November. Pants are ok as they have a big removable flap that allows air in on hot day's. Quality is very good, only gripes are that most badges and reflectors are iron on and are staring to peal away. For the price I would have expected real sewn on badges. Also when all of the liners are in, it is heavy.
  17. :sign yeah that: but its sooo expensive. What kind of price do they have on it in your area?
  18. Got to sit on a 2014 Harley-Davidson CVO Limited today and I could not beleive how light and balanced it felt compared to my 2nd gen. It was effortless to keep balanced. Will certainly go and take a second look and test ride once riding weather comes back around but they are asking 46k dollars for this thing so small chance of ever getting one.
  19. And dont let its contents scare you away. Chances of having all of those problems on one bike are low. I bought a 2006 with 32k miles on it last summer and it does require attention and regular maintenance as they are complex machines. The up side is that there is advice available on this site for any possible issue that you may face. And if you come up with a new issue, folks will take up the challenge and find a fix very fast. Best $12 I have ever spent. Welcome aboard......
  20. So that is what you do with those parts that keep falling off them HD's:rotf:
  21. Not much, they go so fast that the ice cannot feel them:snow2:
