  1. We have the same helmets and use the following headsets from J&M (Products), you also need to order the right 5 pin patch cord (HC-PC - 1983–2014 w/5-pin system). Sound quality is good for the price.
  2. Great tip, thanks!
  3. Motorcycle Flagpole Mount and Canada Flag - Leather Master Found and ordered 2 of these this morning. Came out to 118$ with shipping. Hopefully they are sturdy?
  4. Thanks, they like everything else cost more here in Canada. I am looking at folding flag holders and that does add to the price. Also, with the Cnd dollar being so low and the costs of shipping and import charges it is now better for us to get stuff from Canadian suppliers. Just saw a video in another thread showing how a fiberglass antenna was bending at speed and that has convinced me to not use them as flag holders. I will take a look at any lead though........
  5. Ok, thanks for the replies, having a hard time to justify the cost (170.00) for 2 flag holders.:mo money:May take a chance with the antennas anyway as they are cheap to replace.
  6. I now have fiberglass antennas and am wondering if I can use these to fly small 6x9 flags. I know a number of members had problems with breaking stock antennas when used with flags, but would the fiberglass ones be stronger? I have the 3ft Francis ones. They are only $20 each, so I could always try it as they are cheap to replace. Thanks
  7. I would not worry about it. All on the site seem to be fully aware of your dedication to this site. Sounds like the former member needs to grow a bit of a sense of humor. BTW from what I have seen, you seem to be the target of most of the HD jokes so if anyone would have had a reason to be upset you would, but you do have a sense of humor. Also, I am very interested to hear what you have to say about the HD, as I am like you, if Mother Yamaha does not make an offering soon it will be going the way of HD or Indian for my next bike.
  8. Never mind, found it by hitting ''user gallery'' next to name above.
  9. Where they moved or deleted in the changeover to the new site??
  10. I have been monitoring eBay and Kijiji for past year trying to get my hands on a set of Vance & Hines Monster Ovals and 99% of the ones I see posted as second hand are either pitted or have chrome pealing off them, especially the end caps. This is leading me to re-think as V&H seem to have quality issues with their plating. I would be interested to hear about your experience with them if you have them on your RSV. I would not mind dropping :mo money:for a set that has a few scratches, but what I am seeing on-line is bad pitting or pealing. Thanks
  11. Love it, where can u get one?
  12. Nice pics, glad some of us are able to ride. -30c here today.
  13. Need to add another category to the survey for those who have yet to replace the shock.......oh darn, now I jinxed it, need to go and look for oil....
  14. Anyone planning to go to Americade (June 2-6) this year or to Atlanticade (July 1 to 5) (Note moved back to Moncton this year) ? Americade Motorcycle Rally | Lake George, New york Atlanticade - Welcome to Atlanticade
  15. I have done it and only removed the bags and slip-ons. No need to remove anything else such as trunk or rear foot rests. There is a write up on it in the 2nd gen tech section. Here is the link: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/suspension-tires-handlebars-etc-/515-rear-wheel-removal.html
  16. TomTom Rider GPS Swat Boots But more importantly quality time with my wife and son.
  17. Good find...reading now.......
  18. :dancefool:
  19. I have been paying about $600 per year.
  20. Had same thing happen to my 06 this fall. I opted to buy an OEM from Yamaha and will buy a new set of points to fix the old one so I have it as a backup. While you are in there changing the fuel pump, you should also change your fuel filter as if it is clogged up, it will contribute to making the pump work harder.
  21. While you are looking at the pivot point for the forks check for any chaffed or pinched wire. It is common for wires to get pinched by the steering stops on both sides.
  22. Please keep it. Very useful.
  23. Not sure what's up with them, but in the past week I have only been able to get them to come up correctly by using chrome as a browser. Otherwise same results as you:confused24:
  24. Just added to my list hard wirring my new TomTom Rider GPS that will be delivered to me this week. And doing the hard bag rails mod to get them to line up better.
