I've got both and I like it. The difference is pretty dramatic there is no more muscling it in to the corners just a little lean and it goes.

I don't think there are any no horsepower people. There is nothing wrong with more horsepower or doing modifications to gain it if thats what you like to do. Many people never use all the available power in any of there vehicles and would prefer better fuel economy than the extra power. If they made a venture with 600hp that would get 200mpg everybody would love it but you can't have your cake and eat it too.
-
You will need to disconnect the fuel line from the carbs turn on the key when the bike is covered with fuel throw a match and run. then purchase a second gen.

Merry Christmas to you and thank you for all that you do.

Ya thats why he has the reindeer some body has to tow that thing every where it goes.

Yes I have been hand loading sense I was about 10 years old. I was an ipsc shooter for a couple of years and it was just like you described for me. I have 5 or 6 1911's and out of my 60+ collection they are my favorites. Factory loads these days are hard to beat and I'm not sure that gun needs any more power. I will probably shoot a lot of 45lc with it.

Now why am I one sick puppy?
-
Thats exactly what I had in mind. It should also work good on wild hogs , coyotes and politicians.

You need to give up on those antiques and find a real motorcycle. You don't want to be like me its too much work to be just like me. You would have to give up that ambassador position.
-
You told him you ride a first gen didn't you.:rotf:

help , oil pressure
Redneck replied to Thom's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Not true you hook into the main oil galley on the lower right side of the engine that is the oil pressure there are no internal high pressure lines. -
I can make you a drivers license and birth certificates on this computer. We have tens of thousands of illegals here with fake documents this is an attempt to verify that your documents are legitimate. I have no problem with canadians or mexicans or any others coming into the u.s but I do expect our government to do the best job they can to keep terrorists and criminals out and make sure visitors leave. I don't believe a passport is too much to ask most other country's require it .

help , oil pressure
Redneck replied to Thom's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
It should be about 60lbs cold it will drop to 20-25lbs hot at 3500rpm it will idle hot at about 2lbs. -
I really don't see what the problem is. Is it really too much to ask for citizens of foreign country's to be able to identify themselves?

Mileage on motorcycles has very little bearing on resale value unlike cars. the over all condition and year model are the main determining factors of value. The wide range in pricing come from several factors the new retail price will vary depending on location , time of year , how long the dealer has had it ect. The difference in used prices vary depending on what the buyer paid , how many accessories have been added, how much they still ow on it , their financial situations , how bad they want rid of it , how long they have been trying to sell it ect.
-
Just pull the nuts off and leave them off then when you want under the seat you just grab it and pull it off. My seat has not been bolted down for the last 20k miles you will never know its not bolted down it doesn't move around and now its a 2 second job to remove it.

Holly molly Frog man there are not enough tow trucks in any area to handle that kind of a work load. Condor you are just the man to go through every user profile and give us the numbers. Oh and you will also need to calculate how many unregistered guests use the site. Pegscraper you have got to be kidding we don't need to send the venture rider police to tell people if they don't participate they will be deleted. As far as I know every one is welcome here no matter how or how often they participate.

The Air Fell Out of My Rear Tire, And the RideOn Didn't Seem to Work
Redneck replied to 86er's topic in General Tech Talk
That tire is a gonner replace it before I have 1 less first genner to harass. Now that you have opened up the holes if the plug blows out it will go down fast. The tire is also cupping out its time to replace it. For God sakes wash that nasty beast. -
It wasn't me but I did think about sending you a pie but all my cows have the runs.
-
So much for having a bike you don't have to work on all the time. You are taking the correct approach though once you get 50 first gens you will have a 50 percent chance that 1 will start every couple of times you want to ride.:rotf:

What you have there is the vent hose it hooks to the tank on the top under the ignition switch cover. it just hangs behind the left lower.
