    An other one bites the dust! Jack the radiator cap up and ride a second gen under it then replace the radiator cap.

    Well you got a couple rite I have a perfect second gen just like all second gen owners. Perfect business? I just got in after 14 hrs that ain't my idea of perfect. It hasn't rained here sense august and the wind has been blowing 50 mph with lots of dust. I woke up alive this morning so I guess I'm healthy. I did vote for Hillary , me and Rush had a plan and its working beautifully.:rotfl:

    Its not uncommon for a first gen to fall apart without riding it. Its all part of antique ownership.:rotfl::rotfl:

    ppg is a brand name you would be better off going to a local paint store to buy the paint. black is black any black will do. 1 quart will be enough. If you don't have a local paint store most napa stores are martin senior paint dealers.

    You probably don't want to hang a venture on the back of a fifth wheel the frame of the trailer won't handle that much weight. Buy a toy hauler that is designed to haul it inside.

    You can also use industrial acrylic urethanes I have painted several trucks and trailers with pithane ultra by Pittsburgh. A gallon of white with activator will run about $70 that would cover about 5 Rsv's. It is very durable and very glossy. the only draw back is they have a limited amount of colors they can mix it in. Are you considering covering up that dark pink?:rotf:

    Any automotive paint store should be able to mix it for you.

    Dan while your thinking think about this part it out and get your money back. Then think second gen and ride.

    You can cure your problem in a few seconds spray starting fluid inside the tire a 2 second shot will be enough let it sit for 30 seconds throw a match on it when it pops put the air chuck on it quickly before it pops back off the bead.

    Jt 12.85 volts is fine the determining factor is how many volts does it have under load. If it will hold 10 volts while under a 75 amp load it is good if the voltage drops below that and fades fast under load you have problems.

    I got a call today from Lowell he and some others were trying to sync the carbs on a second gen and needed some technical advice. They were in Daytona beach I'm working my butt off and he has the nerve to call me and tell me he is riding around having and great time in florida. What a guy hu.
