Dan will trade you 3 antique yard ornaments.:rotf:

One possible theory is they are using the different jet sizes to help balance the engine. On some power stroke diesel engines they run a different injector in #8 cyl to dampen vibration so they don't beat the springs out of the dual mass flywheel. this is just a guess.

I get 32 to 34 straight flat roads at an indicated 70-75 I have seen 40 a couple of times low speed cruising with groups. I have seen the difference of two or three tenths when we all filled up at the same time so I am very skeptical when I hear these big mileage claims.

Just how fast is a yard ornament? Let me guess 0 to 60 in 2 minuets on a trailer.
-
I get it now Dan you don't want to ride you just like collecting yard ornaments. Sell all those yard ornaments and buy a second gen so you can ride.
-
You get what you pay for. The Japaneses scoots will cost twice as much and they will resell for twice as much or more. go ride them all you will feel the difference immediately.

Randy what can you expect as you pointed out he rides a wing how smart can he really be?:rotf: I would call him back and give him my own estimate to put in the amended report.

I have mine set at 8k it will start to float the valves at 7800. The engine will get flat over 7k so winding it any higher will just slow you down. I have the advance curve set on 5 if you want to run regular gas set the curve at 3 or lower or you will get spark knock.

Damn boy when are you going to learn not to lock the front brake in a corner? glad you survived the crash. When you learn how to ride it will be time for a second gen. -
Bummer! I would hang um high. Look at the bright side you can paint blue and white over that dark pink and make it look much better.:rotf: Make them give you a rental while they fix yours.

I'm thinking there may be some Louisiana oregano involved with this situation.

Nice fish Charlie don't eat it all in one sitting.

Goose I agree with most of you thoughts on the subject. A worn engine unless it has a major loss of compression will make more power from the same fuel thus get better fuel mileage as long as the compression loss is not through the valves. the reason for that is internal drag of a worn engine is less than a new engine. Roughly 3/4 of the power the engine makes is use up internally by friction less internal friction means more of the power goes to the drive train. The engine in the rsv makes roughly 400 total horse power but uses 300 of it to get the 98 usable horse power out of it.

Sea foam in the crank case won't cause any problems in a good engine. In a worn engine that is using some oil already it could cause some problems if you wash the carbon out of the ring lands and the valve guides your oil consumption could go up. as an engine wears it builds carbon behind the rings and in the valve guides that acts as a seal. You can get the same results by running a high detergent diesel oil like rotella t. If your cheap a pint of diesel fuel in the crank case will do a pretty good job of cleaning it out.

What I am trying to say is politicians and the media have pointed the finger to the oil companys as the cause of all evil. I'm sure it will be hard for many to believe but politicians and the media will lie to you. I have a little insight in the oil industries I live in the middle of one of the largest oilfields in the US. I deal with oil companys every day. I can tell you they are producing every drop of oil they can in this area. I can also tell you when oil prices were low some small independents got together and announced they were going to cut production to get the price up. The attorney general informed them they would be guests of the federal government if they attempted it. The oil company's are just the current whipping boys for the politicians and the news media. There are many forces that control the world energy supply so don't believe every thing you hear.
-
Oil companys do not set the price of oil the price of oil is set on the commodities market like all other commodities. the oil companys produce a product and sell it on the open market. They are prohibited by federal law from any kind of price controlling activity.

From what I have gathered the pond monster originated in Ukraine. I believe I may have seen the same creature in Colorado last year. Of course this is all hear say and is likely a large load of BS.
