Venture handle bars to RSTD handle bars the easy way
TheKid replied to Bubber's topic in Watering Hole
I did this convertion a while back and I just went and change all my hoses and cables to the rstd yamaha braided cables. My logic was right when i thought that these were made for the bars so why wouldn't they work on my venture. They did and I also have the 1.5 risers as well. no problem with length at all. I also know with just the 1.5 risers and stock venture bars the cables and hoses were stretch to about max. If anyone else is looking for the stock venture bars I also have a pair with wieghts in the garage.- 19 replies

Reflectors to LEDs (with turn signals)
TheKid replied to Motorpig's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have had my side reflectors changed out to LED for many years now. I have mine wired as turn signals. I have the wire ran through the crash bar and up under the seat. They work great and like it has been said adds that little extra light for turning when beside a car and they cant really see the front or rear turn signals. All my lights on the bike are LED even the driving lights and the head light is HID. I have no problems what so ever so far, knock on wood. Bike is pretty bright for being a black bike. -
that reda gas can does fit in the saddle bags of a venture right nicely at the rear end. it is designed for the HD but it fits ours too. My uncle has one and i tried to but it is still a little pricey.

Would you guys mind helping me out in my marketting class?
TheKid replied to GG54172's topic in Watering Hole
I did the survey for you. some of the questions could have been reworded or put into a different format to lower the level of bias. The last question is a big one to confuse people. also some may think all four could be the same type of person or mix and match all. Good survey and good luck with your class. -
I will be out there with a little group this coming year. Went out in 2009 with about 8 other bikes and it was a blast. I have our hotels planned and days of riding (routes and gas stops). I have planned and saved money now for about a year so I might be able to make it. We will be riding into Wall SD on Monday Aug 6 afternoon/evening and staying there for the rally. Not too crowded and damn good price on a room with a owner that is really nice and biker friendly. I have rides planned for all the major areas (bad lands, mt. R, nemo, Custer, spearfish, devils tower, Hulett WY, Alzada Montana, enchanted hwy ND, needles, and all the above). We will be heading out on Sunday Aug 12 and heading south to east back to North Carolina. Got some good plans there also for Pikes Peak, four corners, rt 66, and more. I would be up for meeting but there will be others with me LOL. I look forward to reading about the meet & greet VR style. Let’s keep this thread open.

Two Words to answer all questions really "Custom Dynamics" Call them they will have lights for the application in mind. Also will give directions/instructions on how to get it all put together. Great people at that company.

Bagger Shield Adjustable Height Windshield, Yamaha Royal Star 1300
TheKid replied to Santa Hal's topic in Watering Hole
I will second the bagger shield. I love mine also, matter a fact that is my bike in the photo they are using for that model. there is a second model now that is wider and taller. go to http://www.baggershield.com -
I am going to guess that this is a problem when you convert to a trike? I am questioning because I have found a hannigan venture for my dad and am wondering if we should just go ahead and replace it. It is an 08 with only 10K on it. i was thinking the barrnett or the PWC (?). I have upgrade my clutch in my 07 two wheeler with the full plate and stronger spring but didnt know if that is good enough for a trike. Now all to do is sell my dad 99 goldwing trike.

Is there gonna be a Full Throttle Saloon season 3?
TheKid replied to Bwhite's topic in Watering Hole
I never do it at the same time but always have it with me on the bike because it is part of the add-ons, LOL. Ride Safe and enjoy JD at the end of the riding day. -

Yes sir they are my plates. I would def consider JACK DANIEL'S as a fine whiskey and the only Tennessee SIPPING Whiskey. I am a Tennessee Squire and really enjoy it and all the collectables. Thanks for noticing. -
front turn signals on the rear
TheKid replied to dacheedah's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
That would work but you def need to make sure you have red lenses or clear with red bulbs. I did what another person just did. I have the Custom Dynamic LED in all my turn signals. Rear are now run/turn/brake and I replaced the brake light with the orignal led board i think it is 48 led instead of 100. it is super bright. Call up CD they are great to work with www.customdynamics.com -

Glad yawl made it back home safe and sound. Hopefully the trike won't take to long to get home so you can enjoy more miles. Keep us all posted on the "other" event as well, good luck and god bless.

I use dyna beads and have been in all my bikes for about 6 years. they work great and keep a true balanced tire throughout the life of it. as for a sealent I haven't have to use any (knock on wood). I have got many to try the beads and they all use them now. good luck with either choice.

It was really nice meeting you both. What an epi adventure you had in North America. I am sure the many many miles you both put on those scoots are great memories. Hope that "yawl" make the trip across the pond again some time soon. Safe Travels home and Ride Safe. We all have our fingers crossed things work out back home.
