    I did not hace any trouble with the stock shield at all It was when I installed the clearview with tint that it showed up it could be the clearview leans toward the rider a bit more then stock shield

    Well I installed the new clearview shield tented today I am 5'8" tall I bought the med 3" shorter the stock. I think it may be just a little short but not to bad. I took it out for a ride It did not take long to find out the clearview leans back more then the stock shield The sun hit the gas Cap and bulls eye the reflection hits the shield and where is it on that shied right at eye level so what is next? $250.00 later it will be hard to see and what a distraction. OK pull back into the house tell Teri get me that blue rag over there so I can put over the gas cap bing reflection gone next step gas cap cover ordered over the phone should be here next week. then I will try again. At the end of the day next shield well have no tent and if it is a clearview I will go with the large. The shield does look like it is will made when you order one though make sure of the hight you need. PS don't take off the cover it is shipped with in case you want to send back ask me how I know that, needless to say I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer I should have read the tag on the shield.

    they raise the price we get mad they bring it down just a little we say thats better I think they have us trained. they may have found the top at $4 a gal. people stop driving and cost drop pretty quick. I hope we have found we do not have to drive every where we go. We just need to ride.:7_6_3[1]::7_6_3[1]:

    Am I the only one get the Itch for 9/10/2008 to get here. It is a hard wait now knowing I get to see people I really like spending time with, good food, good riding and seeing deer in the back yard. It seem like it is never going to get here. See everyone there and hope to meet new rides also. ride safe. :clap2:

    Well after 9 weeks my now clearview shield came in today. I bought the Med. 3" shorter then stock. I took it out of the box and it is a bet shorter then I thought it would be. It is hard to tell until I get it installed hope it not to short .Now for my question, there was 2 small pieces of rubber about 3" long could anyone tell me where these go? I think it may be on the short lip that is on each side of the shield but not sure. has anyone installed on on there bike lately? :7_6_3[1]::7_6_3[1]:

    They took my money then shiped 4 weeks later. From all I have heard it is worth the wait.

    Well I got my notice today my new shield has been ship and should be here on the 5th. I ordered 9 weeks ago. I ordered the GT medium ,tent and vent can not wait to get it put on. Hope to get more air in summer. This was a good week to test as forecast is as follows for the next week 100+ up to 104 on wed.

    do not forget the private info about those 100 + Deg. temps we have down here in Aug. (We like keep that to our selfs down here). bring some cool bandannas soaked in cold water and we will see you there. If you forget yours I will bring extras that I will sale cheep.     Bill I think that V-Max must be a young mans bike. I think most of the younger people like it . Unlike use old folk . Would hate to ride that one vary far.

    halfwitt, I am going to buy the Avon's also when I need tires have 7500 miles on stock right now and still holding up OK but everyone makes the Avon's sound good let me Know what you think of them. I hope they hold up better then our Cubs are right now. :7_6_3[1]::7_6_3[1]::7_6_3[1]:

    well being the old man I am racing is not my thing,If it was I would not have bought a venture. I think the true test for these 2 bikes is how far can I ride comfortably and how far will it go and not break down. I have my own opinion on that.     OK Yamaha has stop making 20w-40 oil now. I alway thought that was strange weight for a oil but that is what they said to use. I can not get a straight answer from one dealer to the next on what Yamaha says to us now. Is anyone using 20w 50 out there and for how long or is 10W40 the way to go what to do, what to do? sorry 2nd gen :7_6_3[1]::7_6_3[1]::7_6_3[1]:
