Amazing, but after 2 years of riding around D/FW and never seeing another RSV I spotted 2 within 2 hours. Who was on the Midnight RSV that I ran with for about 10 miles at approx. 10 am on Sunday? And who was going the opposite direction on an '07 on I-30 around 11:45 am on Sunday? Come on, fess up.

I'm in -- I would like a concise venue for calendars, important tech items, and general info. I agree with the view that some items get lost in the shuffle of the main website even though it is extremely well thought out and easy to navigate.

Now, THERE's a central location. and during the work week at that. hope you have a good turnout.

Hey Monsta -- that little bug on your post nearly made me put my finger through the flat screen. -
Was our first Venture venture also. Had a blast. The ride was awesome. Really tight turns, but everyone seemed to escape with no damage. Thanks all for the good time. Glad we didn't have helmets so we could have been further from ES in the rain. That also saved heatonmt from having to go on the water. LA--thanks for the rain gear loan to my wife. John & Sally

Ditto on the good time. The fellowship was great. BTW - Mike, we beat you to your exit by probably 20 minutes. RSVs will go better that 75 mph. LOL We got to Dallas at 3. Was great to meet you and Teri. John & Sally

Mine is a 2nd Gen. Yesterday the wife and I got "challenged" by a guy on a Suzuki 1150 crotch rocket at a light. I had never pushed this machine before. If the limiter had not kicked in a couple of times we would have whipped him badly, even riding 2 up while he was solo. Had I been alone the RSV might have buried that guy. I'd call this a "sleeper". Was over 90 before shifting into 4th.- 4 replies

Now we have all these Venture riders around Dallas. We need to get together sometime.

I always look like I had a urinary mishap after riding when it's hot out. The lower fairings seem to block the air flow to the upper leg area. If I ride with my knees pointed outward it seems to help in the thigh area, but directs the wind upward to hit my eyes and/or blow my cap off when not wearing a brain bucket. The wife, however, only gets hot from the seat. Poor me.

Does your tank lock? Someone may have siphoned it. Never mind -- now I see that it went southward.

Now for something entirely different

I have noticed that many of you have the capability to turn off the passing lights. I don't seem to find a switch. 2000 Venture. Is this something that some of you added? -
I never understood why there were "motorcycle-specific" oils. Our engines operate the same way as any other automotive product. Just need to watch the mileage between changes.

Geez, Skid -- your layout looks like the bridge on the Enterprise.

The pumps you refer to usually pull around 10 amps. My 2000 has a DC plug, but it is only good for 5 amps. You will certainly blow a fuse if not careful.
