  1. Behind us we have bush. So we get all kinds of critters visiting! Coons, possum, rabbits, black/grey squirrels, red squirrels, flying squirrels, chipmunks, deer, hawks, bald eagles, wild turkeys, coyotes, red foxes and so on. But the most entertaining is watching the hawks pick off the squirrels and chipmunks. The most hilarious is watching the coons chase the wife around in the evening trying to get something to eat.
  2. Well at least you have a hobby for when you retire!!!! If you feed the birds it just encourages them to hang around. I've been in a running battle with them furry little ba$turds since I moved in here!!!!

    last day

Ya been there a while my self stopped working in 2006 when my injuries all caught up to me and was told sorry that's it time to stop and take it easy!!!! In that time I've rebuilt one flower garden for the wife, which I have this redo this year, rebuilt one 83 3/4 ton GMC pickup, one 83 Yamaha Maxim XJ750K, started on a 73 Suzuki GT750K, and rebuilding the Venture. and I need to rebuild the carbs on the boat so I can get it back on the water in 2015!!!! And they say I have to take it easy!!!!! So enjoy your retirement years!! It's the most work you will have ever done!!!!!
  7. Now that the head of the snake has been cut off may his minions fade off in disarray into obscurity.
  8. It's a code name for a man cave!!!!! I can see it now, in dog house off to "shelter", in laws show up off to the "shelter", Biker friends show up,everyone's off to see the "shelter". Just make sure it's stocked with beer, snacks and 55in flat screen HD tv!!!!!! Don't want to rough it too much while your down there!!!!!
  9. No freezing rain here! Just rain. BUT it's going to be cold next week.
  10. Ya that's why the gun registry in Canada was ended. They found that legal firearms weren't the problem. Like we didn't know that. And it cost billions of dollars to run. And the registry never solved a single crime!! In fact it was starting to be abused by some police chiefs. One police chief in London Ontario decided that military personnel should not be allowed to own firearms due to the nature of their training. He believed that they where a risk to the public and he went as far as seizing one serviceman's personal hunting guns!!! Last I heard it was before the courts for illegal seizure!

I am sure you know this but others might not,,, its probably somewhere in the mid 50's bike, probably came originally with suicide clutch and tank shift and probably a panhead and probably worth a LOT of money just the way its shown in pic!!! Tell your brother :thumbsup:for me next time you see him.. Also tell him that if I EVER get a chance to ride with you I would LOVE to stop and see his project!! Telling ya,, it just does something to me to even be in the same room with those old bikes,,,, they got SOUL!! Actually it's a 1950EL I believe. Her paid $5000 for it as is. He is going to ride it down to my place once its on the road. He says no freeways just secondary Highways. But still from his place to mine its a good days ride. He lives in Ottawa and I live on the north shore of Lake Erie. Many of the parts on it had to be replaced as they where not correct for the year. Also it had been raked so he had to find an original neck for it. I would like to get up to his place to get some recent pics of it.

  15. Just addressing the issue of the battery dieing while cranking engine. I use a regular car or marine battery for such times. I have made up long battery cables to bolt to the bikes cables. I then use this battery while working on the bike. t saves ruining the bikes battery from constant recharging.
  16. Reminds me of when I was a kid on the farm. Mom would give me an ice cream cone and me and Jiggs our beagle would take turns licking the ice ream. One lick for me and one lick for the dog. Kept it up ontill all that was left was the cone! He got the cone.
