  1. No the guard wanted to see the shiny second gen that was next in line behind Carl.
  2. Kevin, Most importantly you guys are ok, like trader says get your ducks in a row for the bike and trailer, but as said they can be replaced. The aches and pains will go away with time.
  3. Next thing one of you are going to say that you like to go to Ikea now as well.
  4. We will be at Casablanca in the morning maybe we can ride part of the way together then split up if you guys decide to go directly to the Caves. Mike
  5. Evan and Carl, thanks for the invite, but I think we will go directly to Pioneer Motorsports and then join the ride to Ellicottville. We will see you there later in the day, hopefully we can join you for the ride back home later as we also have other family commitments for Sunday. Mike.
  6. Not to sound confused, because at times I am.......are we still meeting at Casablanca between 8 to 8:30, if not it is not a biggie. Tammie and I can ride down to Pioneer Motorsports Park and then join the second ride to Ellicottville and do some sightseeing there. Mike.
  7. Is there room for another bike to travel with you guys, We are thinking of going down just on Saturday. Mike.
  8. Steve as bad as that was, it was great. Thanks needed that. Mike.
  9. yes one of my few things that fall short on the 2nd gens, bags and trunk are both smaller on my 02 then on my 86. Mike

  14. I wave at any bike, if they don't wave back oh well. If I'm busy then the head nod works.
  15. We may be going just for the Saturday. Still attempting to finalize plans.
  16. We just purchased a 02 Midnight RSV and it has been lowered at the rear, before that I was riding a 86 Venture so just going from first gen to second gen was different then you add in the lowered aspect it just added to it. After about 3 plus weeks all is good now, the only issue I have is that when riding 2 up, the tips of my exhaust have scrapped the ground when leaving a couple of parking lots. As for scrapping in turns, I have not experienced this yet. I think the bike handles ok and love the ride it gives. My only concern would be if I was to install a hitch and pull a trailer, I would probably raise it back to the stock height at the back end. Enjoy the new ride. Mike.
  17. My 2 Cents....... I have used the ABS / MEK mix alot and it can be a pain to get it to the right consistency. It has been used on both my 86 Standard and on 2 Apache camper trailers, at Marcarls Meet n Eat afew of the members told me about the Palstifix and how easy it is to work with. The Plastifix sounds great to use and a lot easier then playing the mixing game with the ABS and MEK. If you are near to Brantford I would grab the Plastifix. The MEK can be pretty nasty stuff and you have to go across the border to get it, at least I couldn't find it here in S Ontario. Good luck with the repairs, if you decide you want to go the MEK way, let me know and I can give you some of mine. Mike.
