  1. We get ours directly from some of the apple farms in the area, will see if they ship when we get our next batch of cider.
  2. I hear ya on that one, mine is ok compared to some buddies, but it is still way too high.
  3. Gonna get going on another batch of Apple Pie in the next few days, but I have a question for those more experienced in the art of making this fine beverage. Does it have to be stored in the fridge, our first batch we kept in the fridge but it did take up alot of room. Please wise and more seasoned Apple Pie creators let us know. Thanks, Mike.
  4. I thought I had pretty well seen everything in my time riding on the motorcycle. Today while riding north through Guelph...we see a couple of bikes coming the other way.....as they get closer we see that one of the bikers is texting on his phone while riding. That guy must have a death wish, what frickin dingbat.
  5. We were down in the Finger Lakes area a couple of weekends ago and it nice then, I bet the leaves look real good now. We are riding this weekend but it will be up here in Ontario, too much other stuff to do or I would ride down and join ya for a ride around the area.
  6. nope me neither........but a good one. I was going with the Rocky Horror type of thing and then Bazinga................ it is a Julie Andrews moment.
  7. Hmmmmmmm.......I was looking for a second venture......now what to do with all the space in the side car.........
  8. Very nice ride Kevin, yours was hard to replace but from the pictures this one looks real sweet. Mike.
  9. I use pledge on my 02 Venture, works great, but don't use the lemon pledge it attracts bees. Mike.
  10. Nice, I am trying to find a hidden gem up here in S Ontario. Hope I have the same luck as you. Mike.
  11. she also changes the oil, checks the tires, and then gets rid of the spider webs.
  12. Yup on all accounts here, going through that now, trying to decide what new motorcycle project to buy after looking at few fixer uppers. Can't a fella just sit and collect his thoughts. Trader ...... the nail in the head is a good one .....classic. Mike
  13. Agreed, I have done parts of it between Fort Erie and Dover area, but never the whole thing. If your looking for someone to ride with sometime, I am not far. Mike
  14. Thank you for all your input. Much appreciated. Mike.
  15. The Lake Erie portion of that trail has been one of the local rides that I never seem to get done. In the latest issue of Roadrunner, there is an article about the ride around Lake Erie, the current issue talks about the US side of the ride from Detroit to Buffalo, and the next issue has the Canadian part of the ride. Mike
  16. Even with out it being a Friday the 13th, Port Dover is always a good spot to ride to. Mike.
  17. Hi Folks, I am looking at maybe purchasing a 1978 Yamaha XS 750 as a project for the winter, I don't have any previous experience with this model. I have had a Honda 750k and a Suzuki GS750 in my younger years as well as a RD 350, but none of my former riding pals ever had one of the XS 750's so I can't even go on stuff that I remember (which at times is not the best lol). I am wondering if anybody has had any experience with these bikes from what I have read on line they are a decent machine, I am looking at just bringing it back to a reliable ride for myself and maybe down the road looking at a mild cafe setup. This one only has as per the add about 32000km on it and other then torn seat and being dirty looks pretty good, and the asking price is workable. I am hoping to go and take a look at it in the next few days. Any info would be appreciated. Now time to spend a nice September Saturday the way it is meant to be..........going for a ride on the Venture.
  18. Didn't make it to this one, I was really looking forward to it, oh well family stuff had to take precedence today, oh ya and some work too. Mike
  19. We have been there ourselves with our pets......nothing different to say as it has all been said. A very tough day. Mike.
  20. Way too many Lithium crystals.......very funny.
  21. Congrats.... we are coming up to 28 years at the end of the month. Still learning as we go. And yes it is true as you get older the time does just fly by. Enjoy your day.
  22. Awesome......Congratulations
  23. That looks good, nice job. Mike.
  24. Always up for a ride, have done quite a bit of exploring in the WNY area this summer, even better the boss likes to do the trips on the bike. That means not much shopping except for the essentials.
  25. We got a 40oz or 1 litre, it was 20.99, have also seen it in 750ml size and 1.75l size. The recipe we used called for 1 litre so just to keep it dumby proof we bought the 40oz size. The hassle for us Canucks, is that we have to be out of Canada for 48 hours to bring back 40oz of liquor. Or you just pay the duty when you bring it back on a day trip. I know for 12 beer with groceries on day trip you dont usually get much of a hassle crossing the border. It seems liquor can be a different story. Mike.
