Looks great. I have a sister that asks me to look at X, and two days later will call and say, 'ever since you looked at X, my Y has been having issues'. I count on it. If she would only tell me about X and Y while I'm there.
Sounds like a great plan, sometimes some even modify the seat to get a lower height FYI, next post, many people dislike it when a thread is started as all capital letters, kinda seems like we are being yelled at. 🍻
I as well use the Harbor Freight jack. Weird thing happens, almost every time, for whatever reason, my thermostat housing leaks coolant. Never an issue any other time. I have considered making some wood blocks to contact the frame. Anyone else done this?
Sounds like you got a great deal. Welcome to the Venture gang. Hang around, there are many on this site that can fix anything you come across with the bike. Enjoy.
Looking for a decent Dust cover for my 83 Venture. Sits in garage, gets very dusty and would like a basic, simple cover. Any recommendations that fit, are basic etc. Links would be awesome...
ps: standard windshield, rear bags or trunk rarely on it.
Sounds like a steal. I agree with Dawson, only a few fairly easy things it might be. When it gets hot, does the fan kick on? They tend to run close to the red mark naturally.
Just an FYI and for others. I knew mine was about up , ironic I checked my spam folder, and there was my reminder Don sent today. I just paid it 👍
Just wanted to remind people that sometimes things go to spam.
Interesting, when I click the link in my quote it goes to a page that discussed financial hardship as well. Looks like Amvets might be organizing something.

Neither are difficult if you are a bit handy, I just did mine a month ago. Take several pictures as you go, that way you will know the exact washer placement etc when you reassemble. Rear is a bit heavy to lift and hold while assembling, I use a rolling floor jack to assist.
I watched a great documentary. As much as we think it's us Americans hoarding the ammo, it actually is a wild purchasing and bootleg to Mexico cartels. Warehouses filled with ammo. Crazy the war mounting south of the boarder.
