  1. I'd bet on your tires. I ride an older bike (83) so I can not say what the best ones are. Oh that debate could could on and on. lol Next bet would be a loose front fork (steering head bearing nut). Pretty easy fix. Here are a few older threads and opinions. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?132283-Front-End-Wobble https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?57407-Front-End-Wobble https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?29254-Front-End-Wobble
  2. Beautiful. Looks like an upgrade in pipes as well.
  3. Sounds great, I guess . Our Governor started rolling everyone at a slow pace starting Monday as well.
  4. Looks like a great hideout and place of relaxation Glad you were able to solve the world problems over adult beverages. I too await for this Covid crap to pass, looking forward to using my new truck to drag my travel trailer around.
  5. I've been out 3X on my 83 this spring, today was a 3 hour, 120 mile ride. Felt great. Oh ya, damn I'm outa shape.
  6. Happy belated Birthday Mr. Puc. Hope you enjoyed your day.
  7. Now you got me thinking
  8. I'm jealous. We don't have those nice pull off sites in the midwest and all the campgrounds are closed for a bit longer. Enjoy, that sure looks relaxing.
  9. Glad you got your horses out of the stable. Glad the Techron seems to have worked. Yes, I plan to stick with Top Tier stations.
  10. At minimum, keep an eye on the big boys, Exxon, Halliburton etc. Their stock is at all time lows, and my bet is, things will rally again, especially around election time.
  11. I have a first Gen 83 so not same model as yours, but for me, especially first fire up in spring, it can be temperamental. This spring my front right was not firing, the exhaust temp was colder colder. I took plug out, obviously soaked with gas and fouled. I then reseated my plug wire in the boot, reassembled, and fired up and ran perfect. If you are pretty sure about getting gas (and pulling the plugs will confirm that because if they are getting gas and not firing, they will be wet and need cleaning) I would reset the boots. (I'm not sure about your Gen, but mine is a simple unscrew the boot assembly, clip 3/16" off spark plug wire tip, and reassemble).
  12. Yes, I would take issue with your credit card company. It paid the seller direct, it did not pay PayPal, Paypal is just a middle man. File a claim, it's fraud and you should not be responsible for fraud. Now if it went through your bank card, it might be a bit harder. I would guess that your package has a weight on it, less than impact wrenches... Good Luck
  13. Very nice, and I plan to go across that bridge in the background in July
  14. Happy Easter to all as well.
  15. Prayers my friend. Good news that most places are being overcautious, and rightfully so. Hunker down and stay inside.
  16. There are some veteran solder mechanics that have resoldered these boards often over the years with great success. Luckily I have not had the need yet.
  17. I fired my old 83 up today and went for a short ride. As always, I had to give the carbs a shot of ether, works every spring. Had to jump the battery, it might need to be replaced this spring, it's 8 years old so not complaining, holds a trickle charge, not liking the load. Maybe a cleaning and tightening here and there. Seems my front right cylinder is not firing, will pull the plug and investigate after it cools, I might have fouled it. Our state parks are open during this Covid crap, so for the record, I'm riding to the park
  18. Prayers for mankind, it's going to leave a mark on us and our families. Stay Safe everyone, stock up on essentials so you don't have to go out and about at the peak.
  19. Rats, prayers that his heart gets better.
  20. Like many things with pressure, you get a feel for how much they leak, everyone's is different. I run very little in my front, and 40 in rear. During riding season, I lose maybe 5psi a month in rear, so i generally do it once a month, along with tires, that really don't lose any.
  21. Ya, liquor stores and cigarette shops will be essential too I guess.
  22. Keep your hands away from your face Ya, I'm waiting on the order here in Indiana as well. Saw a group of High School kids playing soccer over the weekend, I'm sure if one of them have it, they all will, then their families. This is going to be a long road. Prayers up
  23. Prayers for your brother and all family. Sounds like he's ready to nip it and get outta there, .
  24. First Time In History We can save the human race by laying in front of the TV and doing nothing LET’S NOT SCREW THIS UP!
