  3. This is for the gentleman I met outside the Windermere Canadian Tire in Edmonton this morning. I left and did not get your name or phone number so I am hoping you check out the site as we discussed and make contact with me. I would like to get together to compare notes on the bikes. Bernie
  4. Thanks for the pictures Patti. I too am new to the VentureRider.Org and it is pictures of events like this that make me want to participate.
  5. I guess my album space is full because I was only able to upload 2 pictures. Dingy provided me with instructions on how to do a drop box link so here goes for those wanting to see pictures of the return trip. If this did not work let me know and I will give it another go. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5xhrr8bmf8urmws/j7mncg9S2U

  7. Great Updates !! Thanks for Sharing the ride!
  8. What a great way to spend a couple of weeks. Touring some very pretty country, meeting some very nice people and riding!! It is funny how life happens despite our efforts to mold it the way we think it should go. At the age of 25 I went into business for myself and felt the best thing to do for the business was sell my scooter so I would remain focussed on the business. I loved riding back then. 3 years after that, a failed business under my belt and obligations to meet I never replaced the bike until last year. In hind sight I should have kept the scooter, not gone into business and enjoyed riding for the past 30 years. Hind sight is always 100% isn't it. The round trip totalled out at 7,334 KM or 4,584 Miles. I averaged 14.1Litres \ 100 k or 40.07 miles per gal. I averaged 611 km, 382 miles per day for the 12 days riding. The shortest being today a quick 314 k, 196 miles from Calgary to Edmonton, the longest was yesterday where I went from the southern border of Montana to Calgary, 911 k, 569 miles. I left Canada in the rain and I returned to rain so it seems not a lot has changed since I have been gone. I will be posting the return trip pictures to my album (likely tomorrow), some samples below. Now, where to go next year....
  9. I left San Diego Monday morning early to try to get ahead of the heat going into Las Vegas, it was 102 degrees when I got there, should have left way earlier . This morning when I left it was a much more reasonable 85 degrees. I have made it to Provo Utah and plan on being in Dillon Montana tomorrow. I have heard it a million times that the faster you go the less mpg you get, well here is a million and one: posted speed limit in Oregon \ California 55 to 65 mph, averaged 41 mpg posted speed limits in Nevada \ Utah 65 to 80 mph, averaged 35 mpg I posted a few pictures of our trips to Sea world, San Diego Zoo Safari Park and Old Town San Diego un the Community Tab in my album if anyone is interested.
